Works well
Easy to install and a solid rail

Paint falls of in big pieces!
These were fairly easy to install and they are very stable in late Oct 2024. However, the paint was soon falling off in big chunks. Now they are rusting and will probably stain my composite porch unless I deal with it. Painting them seems like a short term solution, and I am in the Northeast where it Winter. Not conducive to painting!

Everything needed to install is included.
Easy to install and looks good. Installed last Fall and still looks like new.

Aluminum railing
Easy to assemble and install. Sturdy. Horrible paint job. After only a few months that paint is peeling off all three of the railings I purchased. Will have to scrape, sand, prime and paint. The price is decent for what you get, but if you not willing to repaint it, then I would stay away from this item.

Paint seems a little weak.
Pieces fit well together, all the parts were there. Instructions need to tell the installer to hammer the cement anchors in (some people may not know this). The paint seemed to scratch quite easily, and could be peeled at these places easy as well.

Good Handrails, Worthless Instructions
The instructions are worthless. The handrails and assembly hardware was sufficient except for the concrete anchors which I did not use. Roughly assemble the handrail to each post, then lower rail leaving the fasteners just tight enough to prevent separation. Mark your holes carefully, drill, drive and ratchet each bolt tight but not overly tight and risk damaging the concrete. At the end tighten down all assembly points and these are very sturdy rails. Only had them a week so not sure about their durability in the long term. First picture is the entirety of the instructions the second image is the handrails after installation.

Some good points, some not so good
I was super excited to find an adjustable hand rail that came in a 24” model and in white. It was relative easy to put together, even though the instructions left a lot to be desired, and it even included a drill bit to use. However, the instructions did not indicate that the large drill bit was only for an installation on concrete, not on wood, which is what my step are. I ended up with oversized holes and had to move my placement of the rail to correct it and drill smaller holes. The rail is sturdy, but the surface of the top rail was rough. I also did not like the gaps that are an open invitation for wasps to build nests. I covered those with white duct tape. But the biggest reason for only a three star review is that it has even been through one winter and it’s rusting.

Paint peeling off in 2 months
This was delivered on 10/3 and installed a couple of weeks later. Yesterday 11/20/2024 I noticed the paint is flaking and peeling away from the metal. I didn't even touch it because large sections would have dropped off. This is unacceptable. The railing is meant for outdoor purposes so it should be able to stand up to weather changes and temperature fluctuations. This should be powder coated paint and be able to withstand any weather. Mine is under a protected porch roof so it doesn't get hot sun or lots of rain, in fact it hasn't been rained or snowed on yet. Extremely disappointed in this product.
