Purchased for a ring doorbell to replace an old 24volt transformer and it works perfectly no need to worry about polarity as it does not matter on a ring doorbelk

Much neater than my previous solution. Totally silent.Worth noting that it is only 500ma so will only power the Nest/Ring doorbell not a traditional bell, which typically require more power. I wonder if some people are attempting to do that which would explain the problems, as it is just a transformer, there isn't much to go wrong.
