I love this dress so much!! The material is thick and sturdy. I love holding the front up to walk up the stairs, all the fabric with the ruffles feels like you dropped into the 1800s. It is really well made and I love the color, I got the mustard yellow gingham.I'm going to sew the satin ribbon in place in the back because being satin, it undoes itself. Also, for any of you with larger breasts, depending on your personal shape it will fit differently. This is made for smaller breasts. I had a mastectomy and so have no breasts and that doesnt matter in how it fits me, but if I'd gotten it when I had large breasts, I think it may have been a tight squeeze. Also, again depending on your personal shape, the waist may fit just right or be too big or small. The ribbon at the back helps tighten it. I got it on the larger size since I'm always afraid of something being too small and so not being wearable. It fits just right except for my waist, where it is too big, so I also sewed a tucked pleat on either side of the center of the waist band, extending from the breast pleats so it fits my shape instead of hanging loosely. See my two pictures so you see what I mean if you need to do this.I really do love this dress. This style of dress was made back when all dresses were made to fit the personal shape of the person, so that is both a wonderful thing about the look, but may also take a bit of tweaking on your part. But really, if you don't sew, you can still wear this and it will be beautiful.

I wear 16-18 in regular clothes. The dress fit perfectly. Not too tight and not too loose.

This dress is good quality and beautiful. It’s quite a bit bigger than expected though. Still, the dress is perfect for renaissance festivals.

Slightly smaller than expected. I’m 5’ 11” and average build and I ordered a Large. It was a little snug so I ordered a size up. But all in all I’m very happy with this purchase. I tried three other dresses this style and they were terrible. This dress however looks adorable, and uses a quality fabric that’s comfortable. It’s fitted well so I don’t feel like I look Boxy. All in all I’m very happy with this item. I recommend buying it. It’s worth the price compared to others I’ve seen and tried on.

I ordered a 3x but it fits like an XL. Could not even get it over my arms or hips. I am a true 1x/2x queen and I got the 3x for wiggle room…
