Left to fend for themselves, the rugged and resourceful dogs encounter danger at every turn, surviving for nearly six months while Walker and his closest colleagues (engagingly played by Bruce Greenwood, Moon Bloodgood, and American Pie's Jason Biggs) join forces to mount a daring rescue mission. Having endured similarly extreme conditions on his 1993 film Alive, director Frank Marshall brings an abundance of natural splendor (and minimum use of digital wizardry) to spectacularly arctic locations in Norway, Greenland and Canada, and Walker (star of The Fast and the Furious) lends an amiable sincerity to his compassionate role. For most viewers, however, it's the remarkable dogs (six Siberian huskies and two malamutes) who make Eight Below so thoroughly entertaining. The Survival Of The Fittest. An Excellent Film. A Must Watch.
I got this film earlier than I expected. I usually write up a good review if I think the film is worth it. To start with, this is a must see film. Fabulous scenery and the dogs are I would say the stars of this film. Read the write up for this film first. This is one brilliant film and it will keep you glued to your seat. Some of it is sad but there are other times you will be thinking, how the devil did the dogs survive what they went through. This is one of those films of human endurance. Or should I say dog endurance. Will the dogs die ?. Will they survive ?. I am not going to tell you as that would spoil it for you who have not yet seen this film. Its also a very heart warming film. I am going to give it 10 out of 10. Wonderful acting, damn good directing and to me the dogs are the real stars. So they should be after what they go through. This film will bring your emotions together and you may well cry. All in all a damn good film and a must see. This film is more than brilliant. PC. 24. 12. 2017. Ps, watch out for the seal. It may make you jump out of your skin.

Great Movie
This is a story about a man that looks after a dog team in the antartic and goes on a mission with a professor in search of a special rock. After they leave the base station bad weather starts to settle in, so they are told to return to home base by the next day.They find what they are after, but things start going wrong from here on in. The action is fantastic and storyline is even better. With great actors Paul Walker and cast makes this a sit up and take notice show, marvelous performances from the dogs. If you love animals this is a bit of a tear jerker and it's not a kids show. You'll never forget this movie. I rated this an A grade plus for keeping the entertainment going full on with excitement and suspense around every corner waiting for everything to come right with a great ending what else could you ask for. Now it's time for a fabulous night in with your popcorn and movie, relax put your feet up and rest so now get comfortable for the start of a wonderful movie. Enjoy!

What a film!
I bought this as a gift for my son who had mentioned a film that he saw advertised about huskys that he really wanted to see!I got it back and showed it to my partner who had already seen it and he was shocked that I was going to let my five year old watch it. I didn't understand, it was a Disney film afterall... I decided to sit and watch it myself first. I'm so glad I did.Not just so I could see that it definitely wasn't a film suitable for him but because it's just an amazing film. I cried, I laughed then cried some more!!What a heartbreaking but at the same time heartwarming film!

This film about dogs’ loyalty to their owner is amazing. I love the film, pure and simple. And I can recommend it to others as well.
