Nature's Market Hanging Bird Table

I get a lot of pleasure from feeding the local garden birds, but there are several problems with having open trays which makes this a much better alternative.1. Open trays are perfect for pigeon’s doves, crows etc. to land on and eat the lot before doing their business in the tray (to add to insult) and moving on.2. As soon as it rains, all the seed gets ruined and sticks to the bottom and goes off.This item helps solve those issues and is good quality, easy to put together and I have plenty of birds that actively land and feed on it daily. It’s not the very best quality, but its dirt cheap!*** UDATE ***Had to get rid of this and have two with the clear adjustable canopies instead. I had doves, crows and magpies relentlessly eating from this.I don’t particularly want my garden filled with larger birds and it was spilling seed everywhere as they flew away from the platform.I even cut a few inches off the centre sections, but it didn’t deter them.

This was just as expected. A cheap and cheerful wee bird table to add to the garden. The quality of the material wasnt great, but that's what you're paying for. If you want a mahogany, life time guarantee bird table, buy one! It is exactly what it says it is. The roof and base are plywood so I dont expect it to last a lifetime. I treated it with preservative wood stain, so hopefully it lasts a while but it now also matches the fence. Hung from a tree out in the garden, the birds are enjoying it (when I put seeds on it) which is the main purpose of it I suppose.Like most things in life, you get what you pay for. This is a simple bird table for little expense and we're happy with it.

Smaller than expected. Looks good but wether it will stand up to weather needs to be seen. Expensive for what it is.

Excellent little bird table it’s not huge but just the right size for the smaller birds, still think the greedy pigeons might just fit on it! Very sturdy & easy to assemble my 9 year old son helped me. Will need a coat of wood preserve though to help it last longer.

What a load of tat. The pieces of wood are poorly finished with raw edges not sandpapered to a smooth finish. Countersink screws provided but the holes are not countersunk. No pilot holes drilled and screws to support pillars no where near long enough. The picture on the box (nice box!) looks as if the roof is solid wood when it is, in fact, plywood. PLYWOOD on something meany to live outdoors! It would de-laminate after the first shower. Not one ounce of pride went into producing this thing. I suppose for a tenner one can't expect better. I have soaked mine in Ronseal wood protector so it may last out a west country winter but i doubt. Still it makes a change for something not made in China, through it would probably be produced better if it had been. Oh yes, the cord to hang it is quite nice too ! Good job I had a selection of decent screws, countersink bits etc. to make it reasonable in the end.

Really nice wooden bird table - I've painted mine a nice grey/green colour and it does look much better than natural - but that's just my opinion. I'm quite good at DIY but I found it difficult to get the bird table together and had to enlist the help of hubbie - but he completed it with ease so maybe I'm not such a good DIY-er as I thought. It's sturdy, a good size and will certainly last a long time. Good price and I'm pleased with the item - highly recommended - also recommended by my local bird (and squirrell) populations.

I don't leave reviews very often but after reading the negative reviews, I felt I must.Alright, the quality of the wood isn't top notch but what would you expect for £8.95?I found it easy to assemble and, once I'd given it a good sanding down and applied weatherproof stain, I was more than happy with it. It's sturdy and now weatherproof.The only reason I gave it 4/5 stars was that the wood arrived untreated and so I couldn't say it was weatherproof.Admittedly, looking at some of the other buyer's photos, the kit i received wasn't split or damaged to the same degree, so maybe they were just the unlucky few.

Easy to assemble , I painted it too protect it from weather. Birds feed off it quite happily …
