Wooden Rings: How To Make Wooden Rings By Hand

This is a truly brilliant book. I've made rings before and this doesn't patronise at all. Each page has a handy tips column which I've found especially reassuring and useful. Some great ideas in here too. The only thing I would say is that if you're looking to make "bent wood" rings, this is not the book for you - this is for solid wood ring creation.I only wish the author did other similar books on small hobbyist items. Based on this book, I would buy them all!

I absolutely love this jam-packed book, which is rammed full of information. I already make wooden rings, so bought the book in the hope of gaining further inspiration for techniques. The clear, step-by-step instructions make the techniques easy to follow for beginners, and for those like me who already have some of the know-how, it makes an excellent refresher, and does indeed offer nuggets of inspiration that I hadn't thought of before, that will no doubt help me to add even more unique features to the rings I make. As well as techniques, the book also has loads and loads of technical information, tips on tools, and general advice from this accomplished and helpful author.
