Whats old is new again
Not going to put any photos because its a gross topic. That said we have a 25 year old porcelain toilet in the motor home. It always seemed to work but the water would slowly seep out and there was that faint smell. Looked at buying a new toilet but found this kit. I am happy now, it was a crappy job cleaning the old toilet but now that it was clean the job was easy and now the toilet not only looks like new, it also works like new. And no faint smell just fresh air.

Works great with my Dometic 510 toilet.
This worked just right on my Dometic 510 toilet. The improved brass shaft should hold up quite well. I lubricated the o-rings on the shaft with silicon grease so they would slide in without getting nicked and to help them seal better. After I installed the ball I sprayed it and the entire waste tube down with silicon spray. I also applied the silicon spray to the ball seals on all sides to keep everything lubed well. She now holds water like a champ and doesn't leak. This was part of a complete rebuild where I replaced the vacuum breaker, the water valve assy and upgraded the sprayer with a much improved hose. I also had to repair a water damaged floor which I built up under the toilet to elevate it 16 1/2" high, a big improvement.Parts used:- Dometic 385230335 Vacuum Breaker Hand Spray Kit - this was the wrong one for the 510, the pipe going into the back of the toilet was too short. I used about 1.5" 5/8 inside diameter clear nylon tubing to slip over the plastic pipe and added about 2" of 1/2" CPVC and a couple of hose clamps to secure it all together and now it works like it was meant to. By the way the plastic pipe going to the toilet is not a standard size of CPVC, PEX, or PVC so none of those couplings would have worked. Item that I should have used is the Dometic 385230325 Vacuum Breaker Hand Spray Kit with Extension, but my extension works so I'm leaving it at that for now.- Dometic SE341549 385310063 Floor Flange Seal which I lubricated all over with dish soap like the instructions advised.- Dometic 385316140 Rubber Seal Kit for Toilet - Black/Gray- SmarterFresh Rounded Bidet Sprayer Head Only, Stainless Steel Brushed Nickel Diaper Sprayer Bidet Head with a length of Stainless Steel Handheld Shower Hose that I had left over from other projects. This spray head doesn't leak and looks a lot better, it will not fit in the spray head retainer from Dometic and required a short length of 1/4" tubing and a 1/4" barb fitting x 3/8" male compression fitting to attach my metal hose to the toilet.- Sanilo Elongated Toilet Seat, Wide Choice of Slow Close Toilet Seats, Molded Wood, Strong Hinges (Sea Breeze)- Luxe Bidet Neo 320 - Self Cleaning Dual Nozzle - Hot and Cold Water Non-Electric Mechanical Bidet Toilet Attachment (blue and white). I added a hot water line into my water closet for the bidet. While not expensive this bidet is great and saves putting a lot of toilet paper into the tank.So now my 22 year old toilet works like new again, the toilet is elevated, which makes it more comfortable for me, I now have a bidet, and it all looks great.

Black or white spring assembly?
The SeaLand toilet in my 1999 Allegro Bus would not hold water and I replaced the seal. When I did I noticed that the ball;was rough with deposits and I cleaned it as best I could. Soon after that it started leaking down again and I decided to replace the seal again along with the ball and shaft kit. I could not ind a model number and so I ordered the one described for the plastic.pedal because my pedal was white plastic (covering a metal shaft). The kit came with a black spring assembly and a black plastic rotor shaft. It worked but was hard to operate and the pedal would sometimes hang up. Then on one flush, the ball stayed about half open but the pedal would still go up and down and control the water. I had an extra black spring assembly and so I installed it and noted that it barely engaged the rotor shaft and what had happened was that the plastic parts were wearing because of the bad fit and slipping apart. I decided that I had put in the wrong kit and so I reordered the kit with the white spring assembly and brass rotor shaft. It works perfectly. While I had it apart I noticed that it had the model number label on the base pedestal behind the white plastic cover around the base and listed it as a model 2011.From the kit package: 385310681 385318162Fits most*pedal-flush Dometic, SeaLand, and Traveler brand Fits most* pedal-flush VacuFlush, Dometic, SeaLand andgravity-discharge toilets with all-plastic pedal.
