Fantastic distraction for kitty!
This is a great way to distract your cat (I bought extra small) if you have to do something unpleasant (such as shaving a knot out of belly fur) that would otherwise result in teeth and nails sinking into your flesh.Tips!Prioritize what you want to get done. Have everything ready to go - if you're brushing or clipping nails or shaving - make sure anything with batteries is charged. Our old kitty doesn't mind the clippers, but she's developed knots on her belly and absolutely hates the clippers near her belly- so we needed help without taking her to the vet to be sedated. If you need glasses and a headlamp, have those ready too.Turn it inside out so the tag and seam aren't an irritation to their ears! Calmly slip it over the head, position over the ears, get the cat into position, limit the working time to 1-2 minutes, then calmly remove the hoodie and do lots of head petting etc if kitty sticks around.Don't try to do everything in one go. This is a great TOOL- just LIMIT the time and be done before kitty decides THEY are done. Used it 3 times now without kitty resentment. Excellent price. Nice quality (just turn it inside out)- snug without any danger of restricting breathing. Love it!

It really works!!!
It really works!!! We have a 16 lb Beagle who is very noise sensitive. He wore it today during our road trip and fell asleep. He was calm and relaxed. In the past he would pant and never get to a point of relaxation in the car even when he was being held. At one point, I took it off and he became anxious. I immediately put it back on him and he fell asleep. We are thrilled that we found it.

Works Great when I can Keep it on
I have a Rescue Chihuahua who developed a Hematoma. So the intent was to keep her from doing the head flip, hence the Ear Flip in order to reduce the damage to her blood vessels in the ear. The product works fine when it remains in place. It does seem to also settle the dog down a bit. The one drawback, it could be a little longer so it would stay in place longer.Update, perhaps 2 weeks have past, when it remains in place it quiets the dog down, the one problem, she knows when we are watching, and when we are not watching she can have it off in a heart beat.

Great value!
This product is absolutely perfect! The material is terry cloth I think and it is snug but not overly tight. I got it to keep my dog's ears out of their food. I have 2 King Charles Cavaliers and they don't mind when I put it on them because they know it signals dinner time! Also, they are so darn cute!

Great, with issues being washed
My dog got an aural hematoma, and I needed to keep his ears pinned to his head so he would stop shaking them and reopening the wound.Pros: This worked like a charm when I first used it. Tight enough to hold his ear in place, but not too tight that he seemed uncomfortable. Also, it seemed to calm him down, so it seems like it would be great for an anxious dog on even loud car ridesCons: We opened the hematoma while the hood was on, so it got dirty. We washed it just in the sink, and the elasticity seems to have disappeared. There may be a way to wash this without it happening, but it our case, it lost its effectiveness after washing

Great for drying after bath
Works really well. Our dog was stressed out when blow drying her after a bath. This makes it so much easier— she’s so much more patient. It might work for thunderstorms, but haven’t tried it yet. Wish we found this earlier. We needed an XL for our 65 lb Labrador.

AMAZING!!
BUY THIS HOODIE!! I have tried all kinds of calming chews, thunder shirt, which helps, but this morning was the first storm that my dog actually calmed down and went to sleep! We adopted her when she was appx 3 years old, and she’s 10 now. They said she was found in a thunderstorm, so we assume that’s why she jumps when a fly goes by her ear. This hoodie was magic! She wasn’t barking all night keeping us awake! I cannot believe how quickly she adjusted to it. As soon as it started to thunder, I followed the instructions and only tried to take it off once. Amazing product and great material! She’s a red heeler mix and I ordered the L and it fit perfectly.

Not bad, but be careful!
My dog has chronic ear infections, and has had 2 hematomas, one on each ear.He is a semi-large pit-dane (70-80 lbs).He was an ear flapper before hematomas, and remains one after. So, in order for him to not blow out his ears I got this to help hold them down.So a couple of things to note:1) They will still flap, and some MIGHT try and paw at it, so pay attention to your pet. Flapping with this one, nothing will move if they don't paw at it incessantly. Its decently tight, and offers ear support.2) It is soft and stretchy, so easy to get around most dog heads, its almost like a head-sock in that way.3) Most important one to me: If your dog CURRENTLY has an ear infection, or has had surgery... you WILL need to CLEAN REGULARLY. This device will not dry the inside of your dog's ears, so covering it up will keep it icky if left with moisture. If its gunky-infection it may be difficult to use this. It will get crusted up easily and youll have to wash it. If you leave it in too long the crush will make it stick to their fur and make it gross as well as uncomfortable to remove later.I would recommend some supervised Air-Dry time several times a day, or a cone instead if its a recent surgery or gunky ear infection. Now, if your dog does NOT get ear infections, and just is a flapper/ear scratcher this would probably work very well without much worry. Just clean ears regularly, wash this when it gets covered in hair or dander to prevent likelihood of creating an infection using it.I wouldnt say they are noise cancelling, though maybe noise dampening. Some dogs might find relief from it, some might find discomfort. Depends on the dog.I can see the use from this product, but it did not work for my purposes unfortunately. No fault of the product I feel, It just did not fit my needs. Just think about it a minute, and be willing to take a loss if its not for your dog.
