New Me Era
For my baddies, that done with using a curling iron this is your best tool. It is easy to use and you can use it if your hair is dry, wet or even with leaving conditioner. They are comfy to sleep in plus they don't really weigh much on you at least it did it for me.

Awesome Results on Long Straight Hair!!!
My granddaughters hair is long, straight, and very heavy! I was worried how her hair was going to look for her western themed formal! These worked better than I could have ever hoped!! We left her hair just slightly damp, ran a bit of mouse through it, and wrapped her entire head in a large scarf to keep them in place....she slept in them and it worked fantastcally!! She said her hair was still curly the next day!! They take a bit of a trial run to get use to putting them in but not hard to do at all! Loved how her hair turned out!!! She was ecstatic about her hair!!

The instructions suck, but I figured it out
You hook the section of hair you want curled with the hook. What it doesn't tell you is that you need to slip one of the blue plastic sections onto the hook plastic section. So, you have the base of your hair (at the roots) hooked, and slip the funky-fabric rod, pulled out straightish, over the bottom on the attached plastic piece (through the end of the rod that has an opening. Then, pull the plastic wand/hook-like thing out the bottom of the funky rod, which then re-spirals into its original shape. voila! Clear as mud? The video on this page isn't particularly helpful as it doesn't show the person using it. I have shorter hair, so I'm going to cut a couple of the rods into short lengths, but it should still work. You should get a spiral curl, but likely, it won't be really curly. It'll be loose. And unless you set it wet with setting hair goop and then spray it with a setting hair spray after removing the rod (and allowing it to dry completely before brushing or picking), the weight of your hair will eventually pull the curl looser or straighter, depending on how heavy/long your hair is or how big of a section you placed in it. Did you really expect it to magically work somehow without a little effort? I was surprised that it actually wound my hair up without me physically winding my hair around the rod somehow, so yay! Works better than I at first thought. It's a decent product, but you need to keep your expectations in check.

Ease of use
I've purchased a similar product here on Amazon. Somehow, this particular one was challenging to use on my daughter's hair. She has waisted length hair and I made sure to dampen her hair and use conditioning product for ease of use. But the adapter handle thing kept catching and tangling the bit of hair I had. It took over an hour to complete her whole head. It definitely works as heatless curling but I wish the product was easier to use.

Good product.
Hard to use if you're putting these in your hair alone, but the results are stunning! The spiral curls that these create is amazing! Better than any other tool I've used. They take a while to "set" - but if you have patients (and a friend to help) these curlers are fun to use.

Really frustrating and time consuming waste of time and money.
Thought this was a great idea. My hair is long and following directions, I inserted the tool into the curler and then trying to pull the tool off of the curler along with my hair was very difficult to do, then I could not get the tool off the hair and curler. It is definitely more than a one person job. After every curler used you have to insert another curler with the tool. Took the curler out later and some of my hair was just folded in half in the curler. Extremely time consuming and since it was so difficult to remove the tool from the curler, the tools bent, and one of the tools you cannot add the extension to. This was a terrible experience. I lost a lot of hair, trying to get it out of the curler. Very frustrating. I do not recommend purchasing this item.

Love that its heatless.
My daughter loves these as she does not have to use heat on her hair. It definitely works best not to have a thick piece of hair in one. Less is definitely better for these.
