Neewer is the 'Great Value' brand of A/V equipment, nothing fancy and does the job.
This is perfect for indoor table/desktop use, it's lightweight and compact enough that it doesn't get in the way, and the hardware is of adequate quality. Personally I wouldn't use it outside, it's lightweight and size is actually a negative in high wind situations or unstable/unlevel ground. You could bag the legs to weigh them down, but in that case I would highly suggest a quality standard tripod. Vanguard makes some quality carbon fiber tripods that fit well within a persons budget, without the name brand recognition markup like you would get with Manfrotto. This tripod is setup behind my PC monitor so I can use my DSLR as a webcam. What I do is I set the tripod legs so that when the camera is mounted to the tripod head, it's hidden by my monitor. Then whenever I need to use my camera, I use the adjustable center column to lift the camera above the monitor, then lower it again when not in use. Honestly, I'm shocked at the quality of this thing for $30-$35, and would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a small tripod.

Nice Heavy-Duty Small Tripod
This a great little heavy-duty tripod for your DSLR camera. I am really glad I bought it. I set it up on my desk when I want to record pretty close up videos and it works extremely well. You need something to be really sturdy to hold the weight of your camera and lens safely and this does that.

Good product with a couple of minor issues.
I ordered this tripod because I'd been improvising a support for my iPad while Zooming with friends and the large tripod I already had seemed like overkill. I thought it would also be handy for other situations when I use my DSLR to take photos. As you'd expect, the tripod's fairly light, folds up to a compact size, and feels quite sturdy, apart from the central column crank handle which feels flimsy. The central column was initially very difficult to move up and down, but after cranking it through its complete travel a few times it's loosened up a bit.I've also noticed that even if I level the tripod by using the attached bubble level and adjusting the legs accordingly, anything that's on the tripod ends up not being quite level. It seems that the pan/tilt head isn't quite "square" and the camera mounting plate isn't level when it should be. It's not a big deal and it might just be a problem with my particular tripod.Buyers should also bear in mind that, because the 3-axis head isn't a fluid head, this tripod isn't really suitable for video work where you need smooth panning and tilting. You'd need to spend considerably more money to get that. So, to summarize, this is a good product at a great price, and like all the other items from Neewer that I've purchased, I'm not disappointed.

Robust, yet light and easy to use. Great for desktop or tabletop, but also suitable for outdoor irregular surfaces.
Product is as described. It feels robust, yet it is light and easy to use. The detachable mounting piece, which can be easily released with a lever, makes it easy to mount the camera. The height can be adjusted by two mechanisms on each leg. Tilting the camera (horizontal and vertical axes) as well as the direction it points to (horizontal rotation) can also be easily adjusted through two separate knobs and lever, that can be "locked" once it is in the desired position. So far I have used it with a mini Camcorder and a compact digital camera (Nikon Coolpix S8100) without any difficulties. I have it set on my desktop by my PC monitor and the Mic stand. However, the articulation on the tripod feet makes it suitable for placing it on an outdoor irregular surface, like a flat rock. In which case there is a small hook to hang a weight to provide stability.

Pay close attention to the dimensions, and the WEIGHT LIMITS-for stabiity.
I bought this tabletop tripod for the express purpose of photographing jewelry supplies and completed pieces for my wife (with the items laid on a tabletop) using a Canon Power Shot A610.So far, it has worked well in that role.(If used on a smooth surface you may want to add friction material to the swivel feet-I did. )This camera does not use additional lenses and its fairly lightweight and compact, (12.0 oz, 4.25 x 2.625 x 1.75 deep closed, max depth with full lens extension 3.0625) but even so, it is approaching the weight limit for stability when the camera and tripod are configured certain ways. So be aware of this: you may need to add some weight to the tripod if used with heavier/larger cameras or ones with lenses that extend more than an inch or 2 in front of the camera body.

Good price for a good product.
You receive what you pay for. Good quality and very sturdy. It does NOT feel cheap at all. I'm using it with a Nikon D5300 and it doesn't move a bit. You can change in all axis with a running well for each.

Disappointing
Even at the low price I don't see much value in this mini tripod. Does not feel very stable with a standard size mirrorless camera maybe OK for a point & shoot camera. Legs are aluminum alloy but the rest is pretty much all plastic. It has a cheap look and feel to it. Returning to get something a little more substantial.

This is a little sweetheart
This little tripod does exactly what I bought it for. It is short, but it is very well built and stable, even with my big DSLR and telephoto lens. Of course, I don't shoot things with a tripod like this and a heavy telephoto very often, but it is nice to know that I could if I needed to, without concerns.
