Tree Climbing Spike Set - Adjustable Tree Climbing Gear with Spike Tool

My granddaughter has used it at least once a week since Christmas. From hunting to just enjoying the thrill of climbing trees with no low limbs. Better than I had expected. My son has also used it and was impressed with the product.

The brace is held together with cable ties!?!?!? I can't believe it! I won't trust my life on this. The cable ties are broken already right out of the box. I didn't even take the plastic off. It's going right back. No thank you.

I have been trimming trees for over 30 years. With a rope and spikes and rip saw or chain saw attached to my belt and saddle. This belt comes with clamps that are strong and EXCELLENT. I recommend that the retailer ship the product with the rope in longer loops. I know package sizing is important, but you are UNABLE to use this rope PROPERLY without completely unrolling it and STRETCHING in for quite a few minutes. It wants to recoil like a rattlesnake. I mean stretch it out FULL LENGTH and hold it taunt for several minutes or an hour or two before use .... The rope is also VERY "unflexible" and makes tying even a bowling knot VERY difficult or bulky. Good FYI for all you tree trimmers out there. Hight quality spikes. I have always used "single" larger spikes on each side - these come with "two" smaller spikes on each leg. But they work the same way. Worth the money.

I'm grateful for this item, this product. My boy friend at the time, whom I had given this item to had not had it but two weeks and it saved his life. Forever grateful..

Without any instructions it is hard to know which spikes go to which foot and the straps provided do not make sense! The metal brace runs straight up the leg without any accommodation for the ankle bone! There is a couple of belts to tighten around the calf and foot but they are fixed holes not infinitely adjustable. There doesn’t seem to be a way to keep the brace from sliding/rubbing forward or back around the calf. There is a triangular metal loop that doesn’t seem to serve any purpose without a specialized strap or corresponding loop. Got these only to see if I still have leg strength to climb a tree using spikes or not, we shall see.

I fell out of my tree when I put the spikes in. They kind of grab but if you can't drive into a small tree like this and I'll show you is the one I fell out of because the strap came on done, it is not safe at all. This product should not be sold on the shelf. Or online by any means. I would like my money back No offense to the to the seller but this product is very on safe and un stable not worth the money
