Trixie Valerian Spray for Cat, 50 ml

I spray this on my cat's toys and he goes crazy for it. He knows the sound of the spray bottle and comes running. I've used it on toys he's not sure about and then he decides he likes them and will play with them even after scent wears off.It doesn't calm him down but it keeps him occupied if he wants to play and I'm not able to play with him at that moment.The smell isn't amazing but I only use a spray or two for his toys so it's not overpowering or very noticable. I wouldn't spray it all over the house or on anything I want my cat to stay away from because he is drawn to the smell.I ordered some for a friend's cat too and I will definitely buy again once the bottle runs out.

Bought for an anxious cat that sprays when stressed.Value for money but the spray scent did not affect our cat or stop her spraying.Scent is pretty strong.May be worth trying but sadly was not effective for our cat.

Seems to do something to cat , but the spray stinks 🙈, also it says on bottle just to use only once or twice a week . Seems more like a cat nip type thing than a relaxer - in my cats case anyways but it does say different cats have different reactions. Decent for the money probably would buy again ...but the smell is horrible 😭

The media could not be loaded. Valerian works on around 50% of cats (there's a study comparing silvervine, catnip, honeysuckle and valerian which you can Google). As my cats are scared of spray sounds what I did was open the bottle up and trace a little bit of the liquid on to their collars. Despite the cats having been outside already, their energy levels spiked and they became very playful. Afterwards they became cuddly and very affectionate. Can recommend trying this spray. Hopefully your cats in the 50% that are affected

We bought this for our 5-year-old cat and he hated it, actually walked upstairs. Obviously, every cat is different but he loves catnip so not sure what is in this he hated so much. My main point though, it has a horrible smell. Had to chuck the toy away I sprayed this with as I didn't want that smell in the washing machine.

Received this today.I bought it to help with my cat who appears to be exhibiting stress-related or anxiety problems such as clinginess, meowing a lot, becoming obsessed with food for example.So when I read the bottle and it says "invigorating", I was concerned.I let him sniff the contents and I sprayed a little around my feet where we were sitting.It smells BAD. Like mild cheese. I don't really want my house smelling like that if I'm honest so I might deduct a star later if this is a deal-breaker.After about 1 minute of sniffing this, my cat literally fell asleep in my arms and became so peaceful, I actually had to wake him up because I was concerned he had gone into a coma! He woke early enough, but looked totally peaceful. He didn't purr in this time and let me nuzzle him which he usually pulls away from.The effects seem to last about 10 minutes.When I put him on the floor to feed him, he walked slowly to his bowl - he usually runs everywhere.Very strange to see my cat all slowed down like this like he's on Valium. Slightly unnerving for me because I'm not used to seeing him like this.But if it makes him content, and he seems to be, then I'm content.
