The truck works with this defective pinion gear positioned with the missing tooth away from the rack, which is why we didn’t notice the problem right away. The pinion skipped in a collision, after which steering didn’t work. I can reorient the gear and it works until we crash hard enough to skip the pinion gear again. It’s been nice showing my grandson how to fix it, but I’d like to order a replacement gear and have been unable to get in touch with someone who might sell us one. I’m hoping someone will contact me. I’m happy to pay for the new part.

Battery life is about 3-5 minutes before needing a 30-40 minute charge, but it does come with 2 batteries so I guess that’s a plus. My son loves using it without the controller, so it’s definitely not all bad. It goes really fast on a full charge.

updated: The new one received was working good. great customer service. thanksGood built materials but after just few days of use . The bus no longer runs . It turns on and makes noise but wouldn’t go . Tried with both battery fully charged and still wouldn’t go

Works as advertised!

This thing has a 4 step "start". You turn the bus on, the remote on, hit the stick on the remote to "pair" it, THEN hit the RIGHT TRIGGER, which "shakes" the bus, and starts an overly loud "engine" soundtrack, which is incredibly annoying. You can hit the right trigger again to turn off the sound, until your toddler decides he likes the noise, and figures out how to turn it back on...As far as an RC Car, once you figure out the "start" sequence, it actually controls really well, and can get some decent speed. The 14500 lithium ion battery also seems to last a lot longer than I would have expected. I don't like the GIANT push button on the remote for on/off of the remote, but that is probably on me, for getting this for a 3 year old. (He actually does really well until he decides to hit all the buttons... Then he gets pissed as the bus stops working because he turned the remote off again... Which then needs the start sequence AGAIN... Which turns on the annoying sounds again...)

This is a great remote-control vehicle for the younger kids. Its great because it doesn't move as fast as some of the other cars and gives them better control and with that more fun. This remote-control bus is a lot of fun controls are easy to use and the response it very good. Through the remote you can even honk the horn and make engine sounds. The remote-control bus comes with 2 vehicle batteries and a charging cable. The remote takes 2 AA batteries, not included. Great remote-control vehicle that works well and is great for the younger kids.
