CPU works, comes with small syringe of thermal paste; motherboard may need BIOS update
Strongly recommend that you both check the compatibility of the specific motherboard model/revision you have (not all LGA 1150 sockets run the same CPUs) and flash it to the latest relevant BIOS before you buy or use this CPU (do this carefully and follow instructions online for your board; you can brick your board if you're careless).I needed to upgrade an old desktop that was running a i3 4130 on a Gigabyte H81M-S board. The i7 4790 sold in this listing was the best upgrade option compatible with the motherboard that I could find for an Amazon fulfilled delivery.The CPU was packed pretty well in a clamshell. It also came with a small syringe of thermal paste, enough for at least 2 applications. I didn't expect this, and it's a useful addition from the seller which I appreciate. Fully recommended.Initially had a couple of issues with the motherboard running thr CPU. BIOS update fixed all of that. Running great, and should hopefully prolong the life of an 9 year old desktop even further.Please try to salvage and re purpose electronics when possible!

I recomend for gamer who have ddr3 board
The media could not be loaded. Its super fast 4 core 8 threads i have i5 13 gen laptop but this i7 4th gen is far way more fasteri used 6 heat pipes cooler ant sports they both performed better than i thought used 16 gb hyper x ddr3 and gpu asus cerberus i can play any game with smooth fps i bought in rs 3990 in price range no comparable processor ever
