The ear pads are very comfortable, and I was surprised at how easy it is to switch them out.

I bought a similar lamb-skin replacement for my old Bose QC when they started to flake and they were excellent. Finally caught an unbeatable sale for the Sony WH-1000XM5 just before Christmas, so I finally went for the "upgrade".Unfortunately, I have been underwhelmed by the factory coushions for the XM5s. Purchased these lamb-skin replacements and I have to say, not much different than the orginal factory ear pads. They are only 2-3 millimeters thicker at most, so don't be fooled by their comparison photos showing a nearly Double thickness difference. Also, their foam seems to be just as squishy as the orginals (to the point that I'm worried even the lamb-skin will start to crack and peel prematurely due to how much it's forced to bend sharply when worn). Been wearing them for about 30 minutes and these also feel slightly warmer than the originals, but that Could be my imagination.Anyway, in conclusion, these seem to be a great 1 to 1 Replacement option for when the originals start to fall apart, but please don't think these will significantly increase the amount of cushion or noise canceling.Final note: be aware that the provided spudger tool is worthless, the plastic is too soft to be effective and mine broke both ends before I could get the second ear cushion removed. I used an old credit card to get around the failed tool. Wish I had Started with the credit card, honestly. It was way easier And more effective!

The ear cups were exactly like the original Sony ones I replaced.

The ear pads were very nicely packaged. The blue tool to remove the old pads was included in the bag. My only gripe so far is that we are lead to believe that these pads are thicker than the stock, as pictured in the Amazon profile. They are the SAME thickness but more plush of course hence the 4.5 star rating. I really like them. Installation was a snap......no pun intended. Durability is TBD.

I really, really like these ear pads. They fit my ears better than the stock Sony ones, which improves the sound quality dramatically, which makes me like the headphones more overall. My headphones are actually black, but covered in a blue silicone cover, so I opted for the "white" ear pads, which are actually more of a light gray than a white (if you're looking at the picture). I've accidentally pimped my headphones out.Anyway, the material is very soft, with a leather-ish feel to it. The stock Sony pads are smooth, while these have a very light texture to them. They're slightly smaller than the stock ones, and they seem to contour better, as well. They took a few minutes to install, as there were no instructions and no plastic removal tool like other ear pad brands have, which is notable because they're supposed to come with it. They did come with replacement foam for the internal padding, however.If these didn't work so well, I'd be all about dinging them a few stars, but I'm pretty sure I just got a pair that was returned. The sound quality is so much better, I'm not even mad.

If you are coming from an Airpods Max like me (gave up after my second pair stopped working out of the blue just like the first one), after switching to these WC earpads you'll feel the same comfort - ears don't touch the interior fabric anymore and it's just overall much better than the stock earpads.The color matches 100% the stock color (got the beige). I was sent two right sides but they sent me a replacement and I got it in a couple days. The installation sucks but that's Sony's fault. I didn't feel any differences on noise cancellation but wouldn't care anyway since these are much more comfortable.
