Impressive. Solid quality. Stays cool. Includes both USB cables. Includes a heatsink pad; remember to peal the stickers both sides before placing it. Has a bumper screw that locks NVME into place, also includes an extra. Nice removable bumper. Even includes a mini screwdriver so you're all set.I paired it with a 4TB WD Blue SN5000, which I formatted to exFAT, 128K allocation unit size (cluster size). Tested great on Windows and Mac. Surely works great on Linux too.

I can't speak for longevity but it works fine. Well made, compact and attractive. I put an M.2 drive in it that was benchmarking like 20000 w postmark and got 4k. I think w a sata 6gb through put that's all you get. I was able to clone drive w this enclosure.

I used this to add a 1TB M2 drive to my Xbox Series X for additional storage replacing an old spinning disk. While you can't run X/S specific games right from the disk the transfer to and from the internal disk is about 2.6Gbps which is phenomenal. It was easy to install the M2, and it's a very solid enclosure, plus the heat transer pad included does transmit the heat to the aluminum of the enclosure.

This was very easy to get my SSD installed into. It comes with everything you need. It has very clear instructions. It FEELS very nice in your hands. (Not that you’ll be holding it much, but it feels very high quality.) been using for a week and no issues yet, and I seriously doubt it would have in the future.1.5 years later.Never had any issues with it for my Series X. It did get kind of hot but I think that’s normal, now using for my PC and still no issues. Thanks UGREEN

If you will be using this enclosure with a 10 mbps (or greater) USB C port you can expect to see data transfer rates as high as 995mbps READ and 1025mbps write. I found this to be consistent using both economy (Orico, Phixero, Timetec all 4TB) and premium (WD SN580X and Samsung 990 Pro, both 4TB). The thermal heat transfer provided by the enclosure is excellent and for the economy drives I have seen sustained transfers of over 350GB at those rates without throttling and over 600GB sustained transfers for rthe two premium drives. When coupled wit the ease of assembly, this would rate the enclosure 5+ stars for use with USV C jacks. However, in none of my tests was I able to see transfer rates over 50mbps (in either direction). I found this to be true using the USB A cable that came with the enclosure (plugged into a 10gbps USB A jack on a PC as well as two laptops) and with the USB C cable that came with the enclosure with a (confirmed) 10gbps USB C to USB A adapter. For comparison, I tried the USB C cable that came with the u-Green enclosure with a MOKIN enclosure, and found consistent near 1000mbps performance. Other have commented on this in these reviews and after my systematic testing I have to conclude that, at least on Windows PCs/laptops, this enclosure won't play nice with a 10gbps USB A port. I needed to access the data on an NVMe SSD which was taken from an otherwise dead laptop. This enclosure provided the mechanism for me to use another computer to retrieve the data on the drive. Transfer rates were as fast as in the laptop the SSD originally came from.

After reading many reviews on enclosures, I finally pulled the trigger on the UGreen product and it works great! I used it to clone a hard drive, then kept the old drive in the enclosure for a couple of weeks. Many reviews talked about overheating and failures. This product worked flawlessly for my purposes. The cloning process went smoothly and while accessing it as an external drive, I saw no heating issues or performance degradation. I do not intend to use it as an external drive long term so cannot speak to extended use.

This is a good quality case for a NVMe drive. Installation was a breeze and everything worked like it should.
