Great price and solved my problem.
The volume control of my remote stopped working. This replacement controls the volume, power, source input (Blu-ray, cable, disk player, etc.) It doesn't control the sound type (stereo multichannel, Dolby, etc.) which I prefer as I frequently accidentally changed it from the auto-select the system picks based on the preferred sound for that input.

Save yourself the headache and just buy the better one.
This remote worked for about two months until the power button stopped working. That was annoying but at least I could still mute obnoxious commercials without getting off the couch. Then, about a month after that, the whole thing stopped working. Not a single button on the remote emits any kind of IR output at all now -- even with a brand new set of batteries.It seems you get what you pay for in this instance. Don't be like me; go ahead and spend the extra couple bucks to get a higher quality product so you don't end up ultimately having to buy two.

Buttons don’t work
Purchased the item as a replacement to the original remote. Worked perfectly for a few weeks and started to malfunction after that. Volume control buttons don’t work. Much jiggling with the remote and batteries is required to make it work.

I bought this remote because the original remote was misplaced but also the original remotes volume buttons are hard to get to work, this one makes my life so much easier trying to turn the tv up or down.

Find the correct one, seems easy, but it’s kicking my butt
I now have two RX remotes and neither one does all the functions supposedly they would work on my demon avr s540bt can someone help me? I’m sure the remotes work just fine for whatever demon they are used on

Perfect replacement for RC1196
I bought this to replace the RC1196 remote for my Denon AVR-S510BT, because my jerk of a husky ate the original remote.This RC1168 worked perfectly straight out of the package, using the batteries out of my original remote. Turns my reciever on/off, controls the volume and changes the input without any issue.Being able to change my volume again without having to get up, this remote is 100% worth what I paid for it!
