SalomonMen's X Ultra Pioneer Climasalomon Waterproof Trail Running Shoe

I've worn these shoes for about a month and i love them. I walk about 8 miles a day during work and these haven't let me down yet. They are indeed waterproof up to below your ankle so you don't have to worry about wet feet. They are comfortable and pretty light weight for a "hiking" shoe. So if you are in the market for a lightweight, waterproof, and comfortable shoe for walking/hiking I highly suggest you trying this shoe!!

This review is geared toward the shoes for my flat feet. I had a chance to compare the Salomon Ultra 4 GTX, Hoka Anacapa GTX, and Merrell Moab 3 Waterproof.- Merrel: has a bump in the mid sole, specifically designed for curved feet, so it was very uncomfortable to walk for me.- Hoka: a big back heel. Good support with lightly bouncy foam and most comfortable. Small toe area. I don't think I can drive with the big back heel, so they are not a good choice if I have to travel and pack light.- Salomon: has strong support and more comfortable for my flat feet and more roomy in the toe area. Very thick lining (half inch). Soft foam insole. High sole (1.5 inches), which boosts my height a bit. I think I can drive and sit on the airplane with them.So I decided to pick the Salomon. It really depends on the shape of your feet so make sure you check them out all. Make sure that you pick a size 1/2 inch bigger for your hiking shoes as feet tend to get swollen a bit after during a long hike.
