Heavy Duty, Versatile, and Easy Set Up
Very sturdy construction and versatility are the main points here. The spring-loaded monitor/tablet grabber attaches to the armature with a standard VESA mount so you can use either with other VESA hardware you have. This works great for an iPad (10th gen) and a 15.6" portable monitor. This mounts very easily to a thick desk with the extra deep clamp. This would not be ideal for a screen you reposition up and down a lot, as it's rather difficult to do with the bolt tightened down. The arm does not close completely flat, so take that into space considerations. Setup is very simple, only a #2 Phillips Head screwdriver is required to attach the base to the riser pipe. The disc for screw-mounting can be used with the clamp for added cushion under the desk and to make for a very tight fit.

Works amazing for my portable monitor
This tablet arm has been a great addition to my workspace. It clamps securely to my desk and holds my 13" portable Acer monitor with no issues. The best part is how easy it is to pop the monitor off when I'm on the go and just as easily attach it back when I'm back at my desk. It’s perfect for freeing up desk space, making my setup much more organized and efficient. Overall, a solid and practical product!

Works well for a Microsoft Surface, mostly solid but QC could be a bit better
I purchased this to hold a Microsoft Surface 10 which I use for work. It's been pretty solid and offers plenty of adjustments to get the positioning of it right where I want it. I like it. There are more plastic parts than I expected, but they hold up well. I rarely remove the Surface from the mount; if I did that more often, I might be more concerned about some of the plastic bits breaking. For my use case, it's okay. My only big issues is that some parts had scratches and damage, clearly from the factory. Quality control could be better in that regard. It's not visible enough that it was worth the effort to return it for another. I've used this for work for over a month and it's done what it's supposed to.

Built like a beast but not intended to be portable.
This monitor stand is built like a beast, very robust, will do the job, and is a great value given the price. I gave this unit 5 stars but I do have a mild complaint about the use of the term “portable” in the description. The description says it is for portable monitors but the unit itself was not designed to be portable. It would be nice to be able to assemble and disassemble without the use of small Allen tools that could be easily lost or worn out if not careful. It’s odd that a non-portable device would be built for something portable. The seller could have simply left out the word portable in the description. My need is portable which is why I make this small complaint.

Great for portable monitor!
As the picture shows, my desk space is tiny and often cluttered but as a developer I cannot work with just one monitor. I purchased a portable monitor to take with me since I’m always on the go but desperately needed a way to get it up off my desk when I’m home. This stand is perfect! My desk is 5” thick and I adjusted the c-clamp accordingly with no issues and the tablet clip is the perfect size for my 15.6 inch monitor. It even came with nifty little clips that attach to the mounting arm for quick cord organization, and only took 10 minutes to assemble. Sturdy, great swivel, and now my go to brand. Love it!

Very sturdy, works as intended.
I purchased this to hold up my secondary 15 inch screen that did not allow for a VESA mount. This was mostly perfect for that, as it has the same functionality as a cellphone holder - it grips the top and bottom and swivels. The Good:- It's very sturdy once attached to the desk.- It's very heavy-duty, and I'd dare say could hold a lot more.- It feels like a solid piece of equipment. The Bad:- It's incredibly short. I had to have the grip hold the bottom of my secondary monitor in order for it to be even with my primary monitor (I'm using the secondary monitor in portrait mode).- The arm doesn't have the flexibility of typical VESA mounts. It has 2 joints and a swivel, and that's about it.The Ugly:- The joints, like most VESA mounts, are connected using Allen Bolts, and there's an included Allen wrench. The problem is bolts are so incredibly tight that they can't be loosened. My brother is 6'5 and 300lbs and when I couldn't loosen the bolts to move the joints I asked him to do it, and when he tried he ended up breaking the Allen Wrench. The reason I didn't return the product is because the joints are still movable, albeit with great difficulty. That's fine since the monitor doesn't move, but it did mean I needed to force the arm into the position I wanted before attaching the monitor. Because of the difficulty, I have to take the monitor off, along with the arm whenever I need to make adjustments. It's truly a PITA, but also not a deal breaker. The worst part is the arm attaches to the center pole when an Allen Bolt - the same all-too-tight Allen Bolts the arm uses, so I can't tighten the arm to the pole. The solution was to put a rubber band around the pole so the arm can't slide down.Overall I'm very disappointed with this purchase, and while usable, I won't be purchasing from this merchant again. If you need a short VESA work-around to hold a small monitor, and you never plan on moving the monitor, then a rubber band isn't a deal-breaker, and I recommend this product. But if you need a functioning product... look for another solution.5/10 Would NOT recommend.PS: This product is cheap enough that you could purchase it just for the back gripping part. The grip has VESA screw-holes, and you could then attach an actual VESA mount to the monitor using the grip! This is what I'm doing. Hope this helps.

Excellent product
Easy to assemble and easy to adjust. Using it to mount a portable SIDETRAK monitor for my ASUS laptop to free workspace. Very sturdy and well built.
