Easy to fit. Works a treat. Captive stopper, with a much better flow rate than the click-clack stopper it replaced.

Looks nice, but didn't seal properly, then split in half with not much effort. The metal making up the threads is very thin and brittle.

I needed a new waste because the design of my sink/tap causes the water from the tap to directly hit the top of the plug, and on the old basin waste which had the spinning disc style of plug, the force of the water hitting the plug would cause it to close on its own meaning that the sink filled up every time you wash your hands.This is an ideal solution for this specific issue, as the plug is on a stalk which has slots cut into it, meaning you can pull it out and angle it to the side, which prevents the water being able to drop the plug back into the hole.It looks great, and only took about 7 minutes to remove, clean all the dirt under the old waste and then fit this, with nothing extra needed. I got a nice seal too the sink with the supplied neoprene like material which is thicker (but compresses a lot) compared to the rubber seal you usually get with wastes.The usual underside seal is the black rubber piece, and the plastic washer, then the large nut to lock it all in place.Both seals worked perfectly with no messing about with putty or PTFE tape needed to get a nice watertight seal.It took a little bit of poking my fingers into the plug in order to line up the manufacturers name on the plug body straight with the basin, I don't mind the branding being there (its fairly inobtrusive), but if they too it off you would not need to mess about aligning it when doing up the nut, if like me you require the writing to be lined up facing the user and straight with the sink edge in order to be able to sleep without thinking about the horrors of the misalignment.

This waste fitting comes in an illustrated box with fitting information on the outside. The main body, plug and fixing nut are made from chrome-plated brass. There is a foam seating washer, plus a rubber and a plastic washer to protect the underside of the basin. There is an O-ring seal in the edge of the plug, which is retained in the grating by a stepped rod. The plug can be held open by lodging the groove in the rod in the central hole in the grating. It will fall to one side, allowing water to pass. The polished chrome finish is flawless, and there is the maker's name engraved on the rim. The price of £13.11 seems reasonable.

I really well-made sink drain that fits internal sink overflows.The pull out, chrome plug as an element of style whilst doing away with chain style. Plugs often look dirty or get lost the chains snaps..The chrome finish is really nice, and the drain is quite robust.Great product.
