Polished Brass Hanging Incense Burner Orthodox Censer, 8 1/2 Inch

Given the low price of this censer, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality. Has real heft, and the chains are not flimsy either. All around a nice piece. Comparable to products I've seen going for three times the cost or more. Absolutely thrilled!

This was a gift I made to my wife as she loves burning the incense in her prayer room. It's beautiful and well made, works great. Just one thing that you need to know it's that it doesn't have any holes for the incense smoke to come out of, you need to pin the chain up so led does not close all the way.

I was excited to get this in my home. I've been burning incense for years but wanted something that I could hang to burn it in. Unfortunately the charcoal, to burn the incense, does not stay lit. As soon as I place the very hot charcoal into the steel bowl provided, the charcoal goes out. Even though the top and bottom of the burner do not seal tightly the air flow is cut off and the charcoal goes out. So, unless I am doing something wrong, I will be returning this.

This is a shame because it’s so pretty! But point blank - it doesn’t work. The charcoal does not stay lit and it barely goes through the tiny holes. I’m going to keep it for decoration but I will be buying something different.
