IST Aluminum Pole Spear with Sling, Paralyzer Tip

Nice pole spear, exactly as described, tip that unscrews so you can fit a different tip if you like but it is NOT a 6mm tip, it has much larger threads. Sling is very easy to replace. Seems to be sturdy. Love it!

I am very pleased with the overall quality of this spear, which comes with an excellent carrying case when it's broken down to its three pieces, at an unbeatable Amazon price. highly recommended.

not durable blade

The spear looks very capable with good machining and finish work. All threaded pieces fit well and the carrying bag's velcro and stitching look good. The spear is light but also a little short, which is perfect for cave and crevice hunting, not so much for the open water. In use, you will find yourself constantly retightning all threaded pieces, perhaps lock washers could help but I haven't tried. The other down side is rigidity, after one spear into the reef, while hunting some manini and the spear is now warped, which has affected accuracy. I am going to see if I can straighten it up but my confidence is low. All in all not a bad buy, especially if you need portability but durability falls short.

I just received my 2 segment pole spear after the very nice 2 day shipping. At first glance, i noticed that they gave me a bag to put the spear in, but at second glace i noticed that the spear segments stuck out like a foot at the top. The bag they sent was made for the 3 segment version. Also, it did not come with the promised 5 prong paralyser tip. Instead it came with a barbed 3 prong paralyser, which I am a bit upset about. The customer service has been fantastic dealing with my previous questions, so I think they will handle it quite nicely. On to the pole, the aluminum is strong and a beautiful teal/turquoise color. It is fairly thick walled, giving it a rugged feeling. The segments come together very firmly and I don't think it will ever be a problem. Overall I am proud of the purchase and I can't wait to take it in the water!

Good quality product for the price. Works well and some quick modifications with orings and heat shrink make a nice grip.

Great quality and it looks just like in the picture. Also it is very sturdy .Great spear pole but has no case with itbut overall its a great spear.

First trip out the rope pulled out of the band, it's fixable but come on. The worst thing is the aluminum is so slick, really makes it hard to use. I would not recommend it.
