Not good quality as broke on the firsts use. Replaced with a more expensive string which is lasting well. Would not recommend.

So I've been playing the viola for 5-6 years and I think that these are great strings, but maybe not if you're going to try to enter a school orchestra or attempt big solos. These strings are very sensitive to bowing and finger placements, so they would be excellent for a beginner violist who's keen to continue lessons as they'll help them get into good habits for playing more advanced pieces. The pitch stability is also great! The strings also have a fairly sweet sound, but once the strings have lost contact with the bow, the sound stops, there's no resonation, which might be a pain if you're trying to play slow, soulful music, but maybe a saviour if you're trying to play Paganini? The sound is also best when the viola's played quietly, which it wasn't necessarily designed to do as the viola can be much, much louder than violins. I also found it a bit difficult to reach the volume I was playing at previously on other strings. I think these strings would be an excellent choice for anyone trying to play fast music or for any beginners, but maybe not so much for someone trying to play slow music which needs some resonation.
