This Bed is great size for hamster, gerbils and many other small critters. So soft, durable and easy to wash. I bought this for my gerbil who wont use it to sleep on but sits on it to eat his food. Also good to use in pet carrier when bringing to vets to make them comfatable and warm on their journey and it fit perfectly in my pet carrier,Aladino Animal Carrier by Ferplast. Good price as I find it very durable and well made. I also used this recently to made my hamster journey home from the pet shop nice and cosy he loved it.

as my hamster doesn't seem to understand its use.He has been in it and proceeded to claw and chew at it until the stuffing was coming out and it had holes in it.Which after doing some more research on hamsters as it is my first, scared me witless that he might choke on or swallow the filling that could kill him. At best I envisaged a trip to the vets at many multiples of what the bed cost.After this I took it away and have disposed of it.There is nothing actually wrong with the item, it was well made, it just isn't of any use to me and I have given him shredded cardboard that he seems happy enough nesting in and cannot choke on.As a rule of thumb I am now not giving him anything with fibres in it artificial or natural that he can chew on.

This isn't the highest quality bed of this type I have seen, but it does the job well. My two guinea pigs love it, and as soon I put it in their hutch they were sniffing around it, with one eventually taking the plunge and climbing in. Now they'll both get in it at the same time and sit facing opposite directions. It's washable which is good and helps keep them snuggly on cold days/nights.

I bought this is an out of cage toy for our hamster. I wouldn't recommend putting it in the cage as a main bed as man made materials like this can block the digestive system and kill a hamster, if chewed and swallowed. So, bearing that in mind, it is a nice little hamster napper, and ours immediately jumped in it and curled up. They do like small round things to curl up in. Ours would have preferred it to have higher sides so he could bury himself a bit deeper, so did try to dig through the bottom a bit but we just put a blanket half over it and he was happy. It has a kind of waterproof base which is good, so if they do happen to wee, it won't go all over your sofa. I popped ours on the sofa on top of his fleecy blanket and it was good for out of cage time - deterred him from wanting to run away (jumping off the sofa can damage them too as it's too high). Putting a little treat in it encourages them to go in first time. Really it's just a retreat for when he is out playing.

This bed is obviously very cute and comfortable! I got it for my pet mouse. BUT (and this is why i knock the stars off) I do not think the inside stuffing is very safe. If your pet is a chewer, please avoid this product! My mouse chewed straight into it and got his tail caught up in the bedding. He ended up ripping his whole tail and it was left hanging by a tiny ligament. He had surgery to take the rest of the tail off and is now absolutely fine with half a tail. But please be warned!

Its ok and very fluffy but if you leave it in for more than 2 hours then it gets destroyed into a mangle of fluff and a complete waste of money.Buy it if you want to waste money.

I bought this hamster napper for my dwarf hamster and he loves it. He sits in it and eats all his seeds. He feels secure and cosy with the lovely fluff around the inside. He also likes to pull off bits of the fluff and bring it down to his bed on the bottom floor :) I was so impressed with this product that I had to buy another one for my 3 month old baby hamsters. They also love it!
