As a nose and ear hair trimmer it may look very basic but is more efficient at what it does than a comparatively more expensive Panasonic that I also possess. The reason is because the cutting head assembly is more open at the top - with wider gaps in the side slots also - that hairs are actually allowed into rather than being pushed out of the way. I really like it because it does the specific job it is intended to do in a faster time, without contravening any safety requirement in so doing. If you want something that has a more expensively designed exterior, then go ahead. This 'Wahl' is put together to perform a function, and does a great job of that without any messing, which is what I want.Eamonn

I must admit that this looks scary...it's also cheaper than many others which sounds worrying for such a device.However, having tried two others that failed very quickly, I decided to give it a go. I'm pleased I did.Not the quickest, and more suitable for nasal hair then general trimming, but robust and painless...no nips! :)Great value and should last well.

For me it doesnt trim the hairs enough. Dont know if thats something to do with safety standards restrictions. I have personally trimmed closer with a pair of scissors. The blade could be a lot closer then what it is. Reminds me of the scalextrics motors. Does leave your nose feeling cleaner though. Well for the price it is okay, not good but ok. If you are looking to buy a nose hair trimmer dont spend a lot on them if this cheap ones anything to go by! Three year warranty is a good thing but being its that cheap I wouldnt bother paying to send it back in the post. . Doesnt pull on hairs at all so dont be scared by it. Looks impossible to cut yourself during normal use. Suprised most people give this more than 3 out of 5 though.
