OTC(7394) Universal Hub Puller

Q: Will this work on a 2006 Chevy Equinox?

I used mine to pull the front Brake Drums and hub on my 57 Chevy. I am not familiar with your 2006, But this tool is very well built. I was also advised it will work on my rear drums when and if I need to pull them.

Q: 7.5" is shown as the maximum bolt circle size. What is the minimum bolt circle size this can be safely used on?

I have just tried to put the puller down to the smallest size I could get it down to 100 cm with eze but it went down to 80 cm but depends on the size of the bolt you are attaching to the smaller the pull the smaller the angle becomes of the legs and hench the smaller the bolt diameter I hope this might help.grham.a

Q: can this be used on a 2004 dodge dakota 4x4 ?

This puller is designed to pull the hubs on a tapered axle such as my 1949 Plymouth. However, if you can get it mounted on the hub it should work. This puller will develop a bunch more pressure that a standard 3 jaw puller. I know because I bent one before I broke down and bought this one. Once mount it worked with seemingly little effort. Your assumption is correct, the center threaded shaft pushes on the CV axle shaft while the arms attached to the wheel studs pull the bearing hub off. Two opposing forces to get the job done without ruining your axle by beating it with a large hammer causing it to mushroom and therefore not allowing your axle nut to go back on.😉
