Did fit and did not look quality

The media could not be loaded. I’d really like to give my Model Y that little extra pop to help it stand out from the sameness that all other Model 3 and Model Ys suffer from, and I thought something like these camera covers would be just the thing. The covers themselves are attractive enough, but I’ll say that the “red” color has a bit of an orange’ish look to it. They also seem sturdy enough as well. My biggest issue is that the length of these is simply not correct for these camera housings. It’s so long that the rear of the cover strikes the paint on the fender at least 1/4 to 1/2 inch behind the camera. I’m absolutely certain that body flexing, temperature changes, and even wind driven flexing would ultimately scratch or damage the already thin Tesla paint at that point where it strikes the fender. I just can’t in good faith recommend these to anyone. This is the second set of these that I’ve tried that have been exactly like this, which leads me to believe that these are all likely produced by the same manufacturer in China and they are ALL wrong in the exact same way. So, long story short…looks nice and good idea…terrible implementation and not worth purchasing in my opinion.

I got these side camera covers to make my white Tesla Model Y stand out in a crowd. There are too many white Model Ys in my town and adding these covers makes it easy for me to spot my car ;-)They mounted easily in a matter of minutes. The thing that surprised me was that they are painted (see photos). I am not sure about how long the paint will remain good looking after multiple trips through the car wash. Only time will tell. I also think that they are a bit pricey but they do offer a good accent on the car.
