Executive Aluminium Clikka Tube Golf Ball Pickup

Sturdy metal tube, much better than those flimsy plastic ones.The release mechanism is well designed and does not use a rubber band like the cheaper versions.

This is the best clikka tube I have used so far. Have found the plastic ones will invariably fall to pieces after a few months. Emptying the balls from the tube could be easier. Perhaps a Screw cap at one end would make more sense, but I haven't run my ideas past the R&D guys so perhaps not. Overall though a better value / higher quality product than the plastic and elastic band combos out there.

I chose this, rather than some other pickups, because I thought the aluminium tube would be more durable than the plastic tubes some of them come with. Unfortunately the clawed, pickup end is made of plastic, which broke while picking up its tenth ball (from a green in excellent condition) on its very first outing. This rendered the device useless. Since it does not appear in other ways to be a very robust product, I decided to ask for a refund rather than a replacement. Disappointing, because the idea of a tube without a cumbersome bag attached was attractive. I would add that I agree with other reviewers who have commented that the balls don't come out of the tube very easily (until the pickup end breaks, that is!). The suggested screw top might be an improvement, if well engineered. With a bit more thought, and perhaps the use of more durable plastic, this could be a good product. Right now I don't think it is.

A good quality product. Easy to use. Makes golf practice much easier collecting balls around the pitching area. Would recommend.
