Great back up option
I got this as a back up cable for my SD 633 and Mix Pre 10. In case I never have a catastrophic failure with either one of my BDS’s, I can use this cable and borrow any battery with a D Tap from the camera department and keep the shoot going. It appears to be well made and has functioned as expected when I tested it. I don’t anticipate needing this often, but in the world of production, over prepared is adequately prepared.

Fits and works with a Sound Devices MixPre 10 II audio interface and recorder
The media could not be loaded. I bought this cable to use with my Sound Devices MixPre 10 II audio interface for field recording. This cable gives me way to power my recorder using battery to avoid needing to be near an outlet when I record sound remotely. This also ensures that I don’t lose my recording if the power at the facility goes out. I use this with my v-mount camera batteries that have P-tap outputs on them. If you already have batteries with this type of P-tap power output, it’s a great way to run off of battery without having to invest in a new battery system for your audio recorder.
