Ahhhhhhhhhhh!
In my 50s, I notice that I'm noticing stiffness and aches that I didn't have when I was a young whipper-snapper. I have a big blue foam roller that works well for my hip flexors and lower back but I needed something else, too. That's where this tool comes in handy. This massage stick feels really really good on my calves and the sides of my shins. And, unlike the foam roller, I can use it on my quads or back of my neck when I'm sitting in bed watching tv. The green plastic is very hard, which can both give an amazingly firm massage but can also hurt, depending on the day and my choice of pressure. The black end handles have a rubbery texture that make them easy to hold, even with sweaty hands. A similar massage stick that I owned and loved more than a decade ago had handles with rounded rubbery tips, designed so that the user could gently use them to "get into" small areas of tight muscle, but this stick's handles have no such feature.I have no idea if this actually helps my muscles actually loosen up or if it just feels hurty-good to massage myself with it. I guess I don't really care.Made in China.
