inexpensive and nice! Will make the perfect money cake for my nieces graduation gift!

The “cake” turned out awesome! I used an extra big around magic marker to wrap the money as the included stick was too small. I wanted to use $500 to make the cake so had to play around and decide how made bills I needed and with what denomination. Used $20 bills for the top layer, $5 & $10 bills for middle layer and I believe I had $40 in ones for bottom layer. Used tape to hold rolled money(included rubber bands were too small)!! Grandson loved it!! I attempted to make an origami convertible car made from money and placed on top of the cake!!

This product was easy to assemble, and I only ran into one problem after I rolled up the 4th bill. It had taken me a while because the rubber bands are so tiny and there’s not many at all. I went and purchased the rubber bands for braids, which were a little bit bigger and much easier to use. it was pretty fun doing it and I am not a crafty person and everybody seems to love it.

The supplies for and directions to make the money cake are completely inadequate. There was no explanation about how to attach the money to the cake to get the ribbon around it. (Many thanks to YouTube. Using the dowel and rubberbands the company provided, it's impossible to cover the entire cake. More than 1/3 of the base is not covered. I used about $110 dollars. In addition, the ribbon is about 6" too short. This product is completely useless. Don't waste your money!!

So you def need to be creative to get the money attached bc it doesn’t have anything in the packaging. It’s a lot of work rolling the $ and putting the bands on. I ended up using 60-$1 bills on mine and got creative. It really lost its “cake” look but I think it turned out cute. I’d recommend double sided tape for the money, I took the rolled ones and scotch taped them together, then rolled a piece of tape to attach the money where I wanted. I bought the flowers and nursing cupcake picks off amazon as well to decorate it.

I made this for my son as a graduation gift. It was very easy to make, but it will take 2 people to put the final product together.

We made it our own by adding the bear. Rubber bands they supply are tight but we got the hang of it.
