No, Synthetic fibers do not take on the color.

The kit is ready for use on plant-based fibres like cotton, linen, and viscose. None of the simplicol products can be used for polyester. Here is the list of the non-dyeable fibres: Polyester, polyacrylic, and polyamide Stitching and zips made from these materials It is also impossible to dye Microfibres such as GORE-TEX and Sympatex Textiles with down filling or Scotchgard finish Non-washable, PU-coated fabrics Heavily worn clothing Used-look jeans

I find it,as all fabric dyes,dye fabric but tend not to dye the thread used in manufacturing garment so tend to use dyes as a colour booster if fabric fading or to chance colour one shade darker

This product only dyes natural fibres. You can get dyes that will do both natural and synthetic fabrics.
