This is actually the best hair cleanser I've ever used. I have thin, moderately oily hair with some waves and this makes my hair feel and look so good!!! Doesn't weigh it down and helps my waves. Smells really good! Also it doesn't really lather so it was weird to me at first but it works better than any shampoo. Also I can comb my hair with the product vs needing a conditioner to do that.My only complaint is that I wish there was more product in each package or the option to buy a bigger version.

This is the first time I've written a long review, but I can't say enough great things about this product.I have wavy, fine textured hair, but a lot of it so it frizzes very easily in the Florida heat. I use to buy overly expensive products NOT made by Bread: shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, anti-frizz oil serums, you name it. The other brands caused my scalp to itch and flake and my hair would shed very easily.Now, I use and LOVE Bread's Hair Wash! I never realized just how wonderful a hair product could be without all of the "symptoms" other brands caused.The smell is amazing and my hair behaves. Bread is also black owned which is a major plus!

I'm embracing my hair's natural texture lately and looking for products that help enhance my curls and keep my hair healthy and happy. This is the first product I've tried from Bread and I love it! It's a gentle, non-lathering shampoo that doesn't strip moisture from hair and leaves it clean, bouncy and soft. It leaves my scalp feeling soothed and moisturized too! It smells like a bowl of colorful cereal to me, a sweet and fun scent that makes me smile when I use it but doesn't linger in an overpowering way - it just leaves a hint of creamy sweetness behind. I also love that the packaging minimizes plastic waste and makes it easy to get every last drop! It's color safe and delivers on that promise - my color still looks vibrant and I noticed minimal pigment washing out in my showers. It is a bit pricey for 8oz, but you get what you pay for with premium haircare - it will deliver much better results than the cheaper stuff.

This is the best product for my natural hair texture. It doesn't take a lot of product to get my curls soft and looks healthy!

Shampoo didn’t clean well. Was very thick which was great for the hair. The scent was unpleasant for me. Almost smells like a baked sugar cookie which wasn’t preferable for a shampoo to me. Overpriced for the quantity and quality.

My first impression on this is that the texture is kind of weird, almost gummy, when using. The scent felt a little interesting, but I've gotten used to it (not bad, I think just less my thing). I'm 3a so on the lighter side of the spectrum, but it doesn't weigh my hair down at all. It's lovely in that it's much lighter than a cowash, does a better job cleansing, without drying me out. All I could've asked for.Days where I wash with this I feel like I frizz way less, my rings are better formed, hair feels moisturized (especially over normal curly wash days) love that it's not stripping. Love the inclusion of the argan oil, seems to help with shine and retaining moisture. Great product, super stoked to have found it.

this is a brand that i haven't heard about until super recently, but now it's like i'm hearing a ton about them. so when this popped up, i couldn't pass up the opportunity. i have been super careful about what i put on my hair because one of the biggest brands around had really done me dirty...but considering this is one brand that keeps being mentioned in the support group (for people who are going though the same thing with the same brand) i felt that i could *cautiously* try this. i tested it out on just a small section of my hair for nearly 2 weeks, and thankfully i did not run into any issues so i felt safe enough to use on my whole head. i would definitely call this a gentle cleanser, which is what i need right now - i need to be gentle and nurse my hair back to health. this cleanser is doing just that, an i am considering ordering more.
