I have been using a bed pan morning and evening for years now, and it never occurred to me that there might be one that was more comfortable than the one I was using. Boy! Was I wrong! This bed pan is contoured to my body, and even my caregiver noticed the difference in the way it slid under me so easily. If I could give this more than five stars, I would because it will change my life! By the way, I am a small elderly woman who hires independent caregivers, and buys all my own medical supplies.

This bedpan is so easy to use. Comfortable and no spilling. It's the best one I've used.

MISLEADING: It is hard plastic, not soft.

The material is sturdy which is great. Others I've had bend, flex and have split first time use. However the textured inside bottom of pan makes it awful to clean feces off of! The lip at back and around edge is why I bought this because I'm tired of urine dumping when trying to remove. However, there is a lip all the way around and at the front as well so dumping it and cleaning is awful. You can never get that last bit out because it catches in the lip and stays in. Others with a lip don't have one at the front so you can easily pour and dump out when cleaning and sanitizing. This was used twice and tossed because with all the other frustrations and work that it takes to care for a bedridden loved one that is one I don't need. Very disappointed. I have not been able to find one of the sturdier material but without the lip all the way around and smooth not textured inside. I would have returned but that seems gross to return a used bedpan and I couldn't get it taken to return anyway as caregiver my family member cannot be left alone so I can't just leave to take it in to ship back unfortunately.

Comfortable

We were using the bedpan that the hospital gave us., It was small and sharp. This one is shaped like an actual toilet and gives a little reassurance to the user. Plus if you have a bigger backside this will do the trick!

A bed pan is never going to be comfortable, let's face it. But this one is as good as any that we used in the hospital recently after my mom took a fall and broke both of her legs. We needed to have one when we brought her home, especially at night when she has a hard time seeing to make her way to a bedside commode. This is fairly thin and not too hard to clean, and it's as comfortable as a bed pan can be, I suppose. Overall, we are happy with this purchase.

This helps my mom so much! It's naturally shaped and no sharp plastic edges so it's safer and improved comfort. It's designed well to avoid spills too. Recommend.
