It's a good one
Bought this to fix a atv body and it worked fantastic! Plenty of heat, I was using a 3.0 battery and sunk 20 or so staples easily. The heimerdinger knock offs are of great quality and value. I have a mustang spoiler to repair this weekend, am looking forward to it because a oem replacement is expensive and I'll fix mine for pennies. My makita batteries fit perfectly also. Highly recommend.

If you have LXT battery, works great
Works great. Fits Makita batteries no problem.

If it was Makita’s own, I can’t see it workin much better.
I took a chance, and it’s paid iff wonderfully. Have used it several times with no issues. Dial in the pressure you need, hook it up and walk way. When it reaches the desired Pressure, it shuts itself off. It’s not lightning fast, but it gets the job done every time.

A decent tool that does what it is designed to do, but...
First thing of note is that this tool didn't come with a battery or charger. After finding the appropriate battery/charger, this tool fired right up and did a very good job in placing plastic staples...which were included with the tool. As far as "welding", it can be done with this, but because it's designed to be a stapler, it would take a bit of practice to make it work.It is good for repairing plastics as a small project. For the price, it would make a good tool for home repairs. However, considering it didn't come with a battery/charger, I'd say it would be worthwhile to check the prices for EVERYTHING you need.

This thing is awesome!!!!
I ordered this to repair an air dam and a front plastic on my ATV. The air dam is on my car. It was damaged on a parking block. The included variety of ties work for several applications. Make sure the battery is fully charged. The welder will not work if it doesn't have a strong charge.I made a mistake and let the heat get too high and actually pushed the piece I was working on. Not a big deal as I just slowly pulled it back in t the piece as it was cooling. after getting all the ties in place I cut the tails off and trimmed the excess plastic that was displaced during installation. If you add a little paint the repair almost disappears. Of course, you will always see it but the damage is much less obvious. The front cowl of my ATV was damaged. I did not push the tie through the plastic this time and the repair looks great.I would recommend this to repair non-structural plastic damage as it is a fantastic way to hide damage to cosmetic parts.
