big heavy-duty pliers
Big, heavy-duty blunt-nosed pliers. Pliers like this never seem to come with tool sets I've bought, so I end up running around the house to find my one pair whenever I need a blunt-nosed design.I considered several sizes, but 8" is a good compromise on leverage and size. It's almost too large for a good one-handed grip with my average-sized male hands (but works fine). The pliers measure about 8.5" end to end, compared with 7" for the Craftsman pliers I've had forever. I passed up 6" versions which would likely be too small for common household tasks (the 7" fits exactly for shower pipe-arms, hose-nozzles, stubborn wine caps, etc). The construction is solid. There's a bit of resistance to the hinge mechanism that I expect to ease with use. This is a very useful tool at a reasonable price, that should be in everybody's toolbox (and probably in every vehicle and every level of your house). Recommended.

Great house hold pliers for everyday jobs
Great house hold pliers for everyday jobs. I purchased these pliers for an outdoor project involving chicken wire. They were a great price and they worked great. My only issue is that I accidentally left them outside for one night and the morning dew caused them to rust. They still work great, they are just a little rusty.Pros:Very inexpensiveGood quality household pliersCons:Can rust pretty easily

Great product
it is a shame when big box retailers quit selling the best brands in favor of a Cheap replica

Simple, durable and handy
As far as slip-joint pliers are concerned, these pliers are fairly large and heavy-duty. Yet, they are small enough to fit into the pocket of your jeans. The polished metal is very smooth and will prevent dirt and grime from sticking. I am a guy with medium-sized hands. The spacing of the handles is just right. I can get a good, comfortable grip. The handles are covered with a tacky (but not sticky), rubbery material that feels comfortable when gripped. And I like the small "yellow accent" on the handles. This makes the tool easy to spot in your tool box. Every household should have a pair of these pliers. The price is pretty good.

Pliers broke the first time I tried to use it to cut a fence wire.
Pliers is junk. I will never buy a stanley again.

Not sure why but these seem poorly made...the screw that holds the two pieces together is fixed in place and leaves the two pieces too far apart to feel like a tool of quality. I ordered a pair of (Same brand) needle nose pliers at the same time... Much better quality...Go figure...
