perfect thickness
I ordered these fake skins to practice on. I had ordered a Tattoo gun that came with fake skins to practice on, but they were only 1mm thick. they were too thin, so I ordered these 3mm and they seem more realistic and work much better for tattooing practice.

Good for practice
Good thickness. Does okay for practice. 20 pieces gives you plenty to work with.

Must-Have Practice tool for beginners
At this point, I'm just dabbling. I am in no way a tattoo artist nor do I have any plans to become one. I initially just got the tattoo gun and ink to play around, but the more I get into it, the more fun it seems. These practice skins are a GREAT way to start the process of learning depth and shading. The mat has the give, smoothness, and stretch of real skin, and it's visibly cracked if you get to a point of "overworking" were it real skin. The mat holds ink very well when the appropriate depth and force are applied and doesn't hold hardly anything if your needles are too shallow. It's very good at showing the varying darknesses of ink profusion at different depths/pressure as well, as it is very close to actual skin-tone, unlike the more "yellow" skins you sometimes see. It's a wonderful teaching tool to gain the muscle memory necessary to hit that perfect 1.5-2mm depth consistently (Obviously, I'm not there yet) before you move on to 2mm skins for more detailed training on shading. The best part about this pack is that it comes with 10 mid-sized practice skins that are thick enough that both sides can be used (a great deal at ~$2.30 each). The only thing I don't really like is that when you're inking, wiping away the excess leaves very dark ink stains. But you can go in with a magic eraser and some rubbing alcohol and remove most of the stain fairly easily to see where you really are when trying shading. But overall, this is an absolutely perfect kit for someone just getting into the art of inkwork.

it’s okay
it’s okay, it’s good for the price but the cartridges aren’t secure in my machine.

Good beginner practice skins
These silicone practice skins are much nicer than some others that I tried or the free one that came with my cheap tattoo gun. They are nice and thick but they lay and stretch well. They are still smoother than real skin, but I guess that is normal.I find the color to be easier to stare at under bright light than others I have tried, so I like that aspect. Some others have been more of a bright yellow and have been eye straining for me.I would order these again.
