Great book easy to read

I liked the way the book included the notes on the staff as well as the numbering and words underneath it, which made it easy to follow when playing the songs. Most of the songs were good for the tongue drum, although some were "interesting" choices. The only con I would list was that some of the notes were not quite right, but I just "tweaked" them by changing them in pencil, which people with musical knowledge could do.

I bought two of these books, the meditation songs and the 70, 80s and 90s. I am so happy. They have great songs. These books have notes and numbers so I will learn the notes too. I wish they still sold the drums on Amazon, I would have bought it to go with the books. Also it is the size of a real music book not like the others where you have to follow half on one line and the other half on the next line. These books are more like a standard music books. The songs are not long but the best part. They also work with 8-16 note drums. This oldies book has lots of songs I know (Sounds of Silence and American Pie!). How fun. It makes me so happy. I can't wait to play again tomorrow. My new Octave drum and if they let me edit this review, and when I learn a song, I will do a video and show you how awesome this book is and how it makes you look like a professional. Well worth the investment!

I expected more for the price.

This easy to follow book enables me to immediately play nostalgic songs in soothing tones on my new tongue drum. I highly recommend this for people who love the sound of church bells or wind chimes and those want to reconnect with music of days gone by.

This book lays out the notes available for each of their tongue drums. Their tongue drum with the most notes is the 15 tongue drum. They show in the notes layout for the drum that the highest note is an E, or a 3 with a dot above it. Then why do many songs include notes higher than the highest note, such as a higher F (4 with a dot over it) or even G (5 with a dot over it)? Also, I expected shorter versions of the songs, but they don’t end in a logical point. It seems they just fit whatever they could on one page for each song, even if it ends in an awkward point of the song.

Gave as a gift and she likes it very much

Very disappointing. All songs are 1 page long and frequently stop in mid phrase. Several songs weren’t recognizable, except for small bits. I have a 15 note drum and many of the songs require notes that arent on my drum. The book is written in C major and my drum is tuned to C major. I gave it 2 stars because delivery arrived a bit befire promised delivery. Vendor was responsive when I returned the item.
