I've been drinking Fungo Functional Herbal Mushroom Teabags for the past two months, and they've quickly become a staple in my daily routine. I was so excited to come across Fungo, as I've been looking to cut down on my caffeine intake to manage my anxiety in today's stressful world. This is the perfect alternative to coffee and I wasn't expecting the Fungo Elevate blend of Lion's Mane mushroom and spices to taste so good. In fact, there was no mushroom taste at all, just the slightly sweet and spicy flavours from ginger & turmeric. I don't really know much about Ayurveda, but I guess it's the Lion's Mane mushroom that keeps me focussed and energised - and without any jitters that you can get from too much caffeine. I'm definitely hooked on Fungo Elevate - a very clever product - what a discovery!

There are 15 pyramid-shaped teabags using material mesh and which are individually packed for convenience so you can also take it to work or keep one in your bag or desk. There's a small cut on the top left-hand side of each packet so they can be ripped open with ease, no need to use scissors.I love lion's mane mushrooms and use them in dishes such as hotpots and ramen. They are a traditional natural remedy and I had also been taking them in pill form but thought this would be a much tastier option. I'm also tempted to use this caffeine-free teabag as a flavouring in soup, like you would bouquet garni.I really like the taste and the instructions are very clear, just boil the kettle, pour hot water over the teabag in a mug and let it brew for 5 minutes. In terms of taste, it's not mushroomy, it's not earthy but the spices give it a lovely warming taste – it also doesn't taste like chai (tea) but will appeal to chai drinkers. The turmeric, black pepper ginger and cloves are the dominant tastes and I love the green holy basil leaf which sets this very drinkable tea apart and really adds to it – and sets it apart from chai more than the mushroom element which isn't that notable tastewise in this tea but makes up 30% of the ingredients.The bag can be reused for a second cup of tea. For those who need to know, the organic ingredients include liquorice root.I personally think that these teabags are expensive, especially as the packaging isn't anything special so they don't feel like a luxury but at least 95% of the ingredients are organic which is always more expensive to buy. At the time of ordering, it worked out at £1 a bag and they recommend one-two cups a day so not great value for a home-brewed cup of tea, in my opinion. Even if you think of them as supplements, they're not great value at £30 a month BUT they taste great and I love the fact that they're caffeine-free.For me, these are more of a treat tea because of the price than a daily cup of tea but I really like it, 4*

I’ve been using Fungo Elevate for a few months now and I’m a BIG fan! I have one every morning. Firstly it tastes great. Slightly spicy, slightly sweet. You can definitely taste the ginger and turmeric which I LOVE! Very refreshing. Most of all what this has done for me is to get me into a calm focused state. My productivity has skyrocketed and I feel great all day. I’ve been able to replace my usual 3 cups of coffee per day saving me some money, but most importantly avoiding those dreaded caffeine crashes.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

This is a healthy, relaxing tea to replace my coffee habit. It also tastes great, not something I find in most ‘herbal’ teas. I will definitely order again as will my children. Well done Tom. Jane L

I like the look of this Fungo tea. The taste is good too. But unlike the taste, the price is a little eye-watering.Firstly, the look of this Fungo branded tea is very good - it looks professional and comes individually wrapped in foil-lined tea bag wrappers for freshness.The smell hits you straight out of the wrapper. Turmeric and ginger are two strong herbs and dominant the smell and the taste.The taste is like the smell - turmeric and ginger dominant. No mushroom taste if worried about that.Some herbal teas tend to smell strongly but not offer much in the way of taste - however given the herbs used the taste is also strong and perfect for Autumn/Winter.Too soon to say about any health benefits personally.However, the final point is about the price. Current the set of 15 teabags is priced at £15 - i.e. £1 per teabag, which is simply excessive in all honesty.Clipper sell a perfectly nice turmeric and ginger tea bag (at around £2 for 20) and add some lion's mane powder to that and you have essentially the same thing at a fraction of the price.Therefore, I'm struggling to see past the price a bit for this Fungo offering. Simply seems too expensive for a pack of 15 teabags.3 stars from me.

Absolutely love this brand. Lions mane is a game changer for focus - I have completely stopped caffeine. Have tried a few different products and Fungo have the highest quality, best tasting and most effective I have used. Will recommend to anyone that will listen!
