The size large black/grey mid leg cut compression socks by CEP Sportswear are made in the USA. The compression socks are made from a 85% nylon and 15% spandex material. The material is thin and stretchy in all four directions. I am a normal size 9, but the large did not offer much compression. I would order the medium size next time. These are pricey per pair at $22. These are well made socks.4 stars

These are advertised at 20-30mmHg. I have other socks that actually are 20-30mmHg of compression. The compression from these are nowhere near as much. I have other socks of this length that are not rated for compression and they do just as much for swelling. Those socks are somewhat compressive only to keep them from falling down.If you're actually looking for compression, I would not choose these.

I wanted these socks for a little compression while I ride a bike for 30-40 miles. I've had some issues with my feet swelling and then being uncomfortable in my bike shoes. It's just bound to happen on a 2 hour ride. These socks come over the ankle so may be able to help keep my feet from swelling. I did one ride in the socks and they worked well for this purpose. They are a little more plush than my usual socks, so I was concerned that the bulk might cause issues with fitting. But since the compression seems to keep swelling at a minimum they felt quite nice. There is a right and left foot indicator. This gets tricky - other socks I have like this mean that you really have to find the right match if you have several so that you can pair them correctly. It makes laundry a little more difficult. But I will take a comfortable ride over laundry sorting issues.

These are the most comfortable compression socks I’ve worn. Whenever I run, hike, or play basketball, I always wear 2 pairs of socks to prevent blisters and these are my new favorite underlayer. They also work on their own (I walked 8 hours on a warm summer vacation day recently and these worked great). They’re very thoughtfully constructed, marked left and right, and fit my feet so well I’m always a little disappointed when I put on “regular” socks. I got my first pair through a special offer but will be happy to pay full price for a couple more pair :)
