Fit and works great 88 mercruiser 3.0
Ordered this fuel pump to replace the one on my 88 Wellcraft with mercruiser 3.0/ alpha one gen 1. Pump fit and works great, factory fittings worked perfectly on it. I will say if you don't already have the fittings, you should order the more expensive pump from Sierra as it appears to come with the fuel line fittings, this one doesn't, you just get the pump and new gaskets with this one, which is all I needed.

Junk .. Died after 15 min of boat ride .
Junk ! I was having problem with my own pump as I could not go beyond 20 nots .. I bought this pump after looking into reviews and price .. The first one was missing the gasket .. Replacement was sent on time .. I installed it and put my boat in water aFter paying the launch fee .. the boat performed excellent ..At the speed of 42 nots max for first 10 minutes then it started sputtering.. it was not even a hot day to create a vapour lock .. so I slowed down and it performed well for another 10minutes but my happiness didn't lasted long as the engine died .. I thought it's a vapour lock so I poured some cold ice water on pump and waited for another 15 minutes ..The boat wouldn't start .. luckily I was prepared for this and I had my trolling motor and tools ready ..After the engine cooled down I pulled up another clear hose ,connected to the pump and the other end into gas can and tried starting the engine ..There was absolutely no suction while engaging in starter .. I pulled my boat to shore and still suspecting vapor lock came back .. tried attaching clear hose and gas can exercise again after 2 days of parked and cold engine .. there was absolutely no suction .. So that confirmed that the pump was bad and there was no vapour lock problem ..Returned it for refund and going for a new OEM Mercury pump for $220 .. .I hope that solves my problem but buying RPS was a serious mistake ..

Perfect fit
Perfect replacement for my 2005 bay liner 175 mercury 3.0. Easy to install and came with three gaskets and a fuel filter. I included pic of the new pump next to my old black one.

Easy install and works great
Easy install and works like a charm. It's not powder coated like the original, but I don't think that it will rust. Boat started right up! (Bayliner Capri, 3.0L Mercruiser Alpha One)
