It works great, amazing

My house does suffer from occasional brief power interruptions - I haven't actually had one since getting this, but I have once needed to turn the power off for half an hour or so to do some electrical fiddling on outdoor lights, and it keeps the things plugged in running as expected. There's perhaps an argument that these are maybe not quite so useful as they once might have been - who actually has an old-style "desktop" computer these days which dies as soon as the power is off, rather than a laptop with internal battery which is going to keep running anyway? I think the main thing this is helpful for in my house is keeping the router going in case of power loss. Also it can keep an extension monitor going, not absolutely essential to keep working but certainly a nice to have.

The media could not be loaded. This UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) is excellent for maintaining continuous power or serving as a standalone power source. Although the unit is somewhat heavy, it is very sturdy. The front LCD is extremely useful, displaying power levels, load, voltage, and other critical information. While in operation, the UPS emits a beep, which can be silenced by briefly pressing the power button. It's versatile enough to power electronics independently, making it ideal for situations like camping. The unit features wide compatibility, including 2 USB ports and 1 Type-C port, allowing it to power a range of devices. When connected to electronics, it automatically activates during power outages to ensure an uninterrupted power supply. After using it for over four weeks, I have encountered no major issues. I've never actually owned a UPS before, so I have little to compare this to and wasn't completely sure what to expect, but having tested this it should easily suffice for my needs.My main reason for getting this was to ensure my router never goes down during a power cut. We don't experience many outages, but I work from home and it's crucial my WiFi doesn't go down when there is one.My router is now permanently plugged into this UPS, which in turn is plugged into the socket. When I cut the power to the socket, there is no interruption to the power at all. There is an annoying beeping noise that starts sounding from the device, but this can be silenced by pressing the power button once.I wanted to see how long this would provide power for in the event of an outage, so I plugged a 45W fan into it and ran it on full power for as long as it would work. It lasted just over an hour. While this might not sound like a lot, it's unlikely you're going to need to be powering a 45W fan during a power cut, and obviously devices with lower wattage will run for a fair amount longer than this.There are two slightly odd things about this UPS. The first is that when it arrived it had a petrol type smell to it, which concerned me a little. However, I've checked the battery (which is conveniently accessible via a removable flap on the back), and there is no leakage.The second minor curiosity is that it seems to be slightly selective with which devices it will power, and I have no idea why. I've tried several times to plug one of my TVs into this to test it, and it won't work. It will, however, work with another of my TVs, both from the same brand.All in all, though, this should be able to cope with most household uses.

This UPS came very securely packaged and my immediate impressions were great reflected by how heavy this was. This is a very versatile device and can be used as a backup for any number of devices during a power outage although I would say it's most useful for computer equipment such as desktops and NAS drives.The first product photo on this listing shows 8 IE connectors but this actually has five standard UK 3 pin sockets.This UPS also has inbuilt surge protection so can essentially be used as a very fancy socket extension if you wanted to. The LED display is clear and bright.And RP of £110 delivered this isn't the cheapest but certainly seems to be very versatile with a good selection of connections including USB, this is a recommended purchase.
