Elvin?
Very nice blade, but it is very dainty--? The handle is so narrow at the pommel end- and the blade's tip looks like it's going to break if you speak harshly at it. It was not for me and was returned. Great for someone with very small hands, overall nice for the money. Great for popping balloons, etc.

Very Nice
I've redone this review as my initial impression was wrong.I have been practicing the close combat methods of Fairbairn, Sykes and Applegate since the early 90's and was excited about getting this knife. This is a very nice, modern rendition of the F-S knife of WWII fame. The knife feels really solid and balances very well in the hand. Originally I was disappointed with the way that the grips come up to form two-thirds of the cross guard and was under the impression that the grip material was a cheap plastic, but these GRN grips feel really solid and durable. The only complaint that I still have is regarding the sheath--it is made from cheap plastic and really not worthy of this blade. I have a leather SOE style of sheath that works for this knife, but for a $100+ knife it should come with a good sheath. I will carry this knife with complete confidence in its durability.

Modernized Fairbairn Sykes Commando Knife
Overall the product is excellent. It's essentially a modernized version of the Fairbairn Sykes Commando Knife, with a handle providing better grip, and easier blade indexing. Plus it comes with a modern sheath, that allows the knife to click into place. If I were to nit pick, such knife needs to have the center of gravity about 1/8 of an inch further back, but it's not a big deal. The CG is in the handle, just not far enough back, when compared to the original Fairbairn Sykes, third pattern knife. Also, the two types of material in the handguard (steel along the center, and synthetic) are not sanded perfectly even. So the steel protrudes just a little. Still looks nice, just not as nice as it could be.

You get what you pay for
Knife came so dull it won't even cut paper. Sheath is low quality and the button snap needs extreme effort to snap
