Q: Will this work on a brute model 020301, 2500 psi with a Honda gcv160(5.5 hp)?

Can never say yes without looking, but two critical measurements to make before buying;1) shaft diameter MUST be 7/8", no exceptions; 2) horsepower of your engine must be close to rated output/requirement. In your case, probably close enough. Be aware that you may have to shim with washers between engine base and pump "legs" to secure a snug, no gap fit BEFORE torquing bolts; this may also necessitate new bolts (longer) than original. If you don't get this right, you can crack/break legs and all your efforts (and wasted $) for the pump are lost. I've successfully repaired numerous power washers for friends (and self) using these pumps. Be sure to keep your power washer from freezing during the winter, or you're back to replacing even the new pump yearly! Also, change the oil, air filter, and gas filter on your engine every so often; if the motor goes bad, even a new pump doesn't help!
