Nice quality
Nice quality. No bleed issues. Leather cover is pretty. I wish they were more affordable but for a five year journal, hopefully it holds up and is worth it

A brilliant way to journal
The media could not be loaded. When I first heard about the concept of a 5 year journal, I was intrigued. The Hobonichi 5 year is set up with the layout of days/month on the left side, while the right hand pages are blank. That way, you can use the right hand side for overspill, scapbooking, or sketching. I recommend that you also get a pencil board, as that will prevent scoring of the pages below and prevents you from penetrating or tearing the pages. The paper is strong, but very thin. I really recommend this journal for people who want to get serious about writing every day. This product is not cheap, but it's well thought out and made from quality materials.

Small but big enough
This is the small version. I have the larger one but bought this as a gift. Comes in a beautiful gift box. Even though it’s smaller there’s plenty of room to write a few lines per year.

Not Fountain Pen Friendly
If you use fountain pens, beware! There is a known manufacturing defect with the paper in this year’s 5-year journal causing horrible bleed-through.

Paper was terrible
The paper had terrible bleed-through and ghosting with fountain pens and gel pens. I returned it and got a refund.
