I had an older HP Envy with 16 GB memory. Due to what I am working on (a software app), I decided to replace it with a computer with more memory. After a lot of research into all available options (I'm an engineer), I decided upon another HP Envy, albeit with an updated processor, 64 GB memory, and a 2 TB SSD.Some of the features that I cannot live without are a 17" screen, and a potential resolution of greater than 1920 x 1080. On this laptop, I have the Settings Display resolution set to 3140 x 2160 (the maximum), with a Scale of 175%. This provides crispness while allowing me to see as much as I can on my only display.While I liked the fingerprint reader on my previous laptop, I have been extremely pleased with the automatic sensing of when I am in front of the computer, along with the facial recognition feature that automatically logs me in. The computer takes care of blanking the screen when I am away, and turning on the screen and logging me in when I am present!

So far, I like everything about this laptop. It's fast, got loads of storage & memory. It has a crystal clear display, a slim case & light weight. Plus with the top closed, it just plain looks good!

Other than the battery-life lasting less than 2 hours, it's a great laptop. It starts and loads within 15 seconds and is fast!

I did a lot of research on different brands of laptops before purchasing mine. My last computer was a 2013, Sony.I love my new HP Envy..it has met and exceeded all of my expectations. The sceen quality, ease of operation and speed is great. Thank you!!!

I have one system from 2 yrs. ago like this and it's been amazing; however, this newer system for a business owner has some excellent upgrades like 4K HD screen, the external SSD and a better backlite keyboard. My system has been trouble free and performs excellent and so will the new one.

The free external SSD is garbage. It doesn't work but that was not the reason I bought this computer.It looked good and had good reviews. I wanted 64 GB of RAM instead of 32 but I realized my mistake after it shipped. I tried to reject the delivery, but somebody signed for it trying to do me a favor.To add insult to injury I could have gotten twice the RAM and disk for $200 less from the same vendor. Somehow the price dropped after my configuration was shipped.I decided to keep it because I'm leaving the country in a couple of days. I even paid $18 extra for faster shipping. I've found problems updating Windows. McAfee told me the trial offer expired 122 days ago.It was not a virgin. I'm pissed!

Could have used an ethernet port and more than 2 USB C ports which are both on the right side of the pc. Very fast, seconds to start! The graphics are awesome! A little pricey but I'm very satisfied with it.

Great laptop, regret not ordering 64gb of memory instead of 32gb. Decent battery life & very quick response time
