Bought for a gift it arrived very quickly

I bought this for my preteen granddaughter. I thought it was “make” your own not “MALE” your own?!?!?! Read the reviews said it was ideal for preteen girls. Ya maybe not I’m APPALED!

My 11 year old is in middleschool now and it's getting hard to find things for her to play with that don't make her feel like a 'little' girl.These DIY kits are great because they're time-intensive and involve lots of tiny, interesting pieces. You also get the bound of being able to make extra for friends.I gave her boiling water in a bowl to melt the materials instead of using the microwave because that seemed like a recipe for burns with the small amounts of material and the strength of our microwave.I do think the final product is subpar and too soft. We put ours in the freezer but they need to stay there in order to not melt. The little pots were a better bet.

Thought it would make a great girls spa birthday party project . It took forever to melt, no instructions regarding how long to allow for melting, very messy. The end product was very waxy. Did not go into the lip tubes well at all but better in the little container lip pots. All in all, poor.

We've made like balms a few times before with different kids and also with bulk supplies. This Lip Balm Making Kit is a nice starter set for a young person who might want to get into this. It comes with everything you need to make basic lip balm.6 tubes and 2 tubs to out your finished lip balm in, 4 flavor/scents, 4 colors, mixing cups, droppers, etc, comes mostly neatly packed with instructions. My teenagers did this with my almost 4yo and they all had fun. My little one mixed yellow and blue to get a greenish color, so don't be afraid to play with them.

This is a very interesting and simple operation to make your favorite lip balm. I highly recommend it!
