OSTENT Full Housing Shell Faceplate Case Parts Replacement for Sony PSP 2000 Console - Color Brown

This shell looks great at first glance. Paint and overall esthetics look great. Once I had my PSP broke down and started reassembly is when I realized the unit was made poorly. It was difficult to reassemble. The screen cover was slightly scratched up and wasn't too clear. The biggest issue I have is with the UMD drive area and cover. The cover doesn't fit properly. This causes the door to not close with a UMD disc inserted. This part of the shell needs to be reworked 100%. I wish I had read the reviews ahead of purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I dint have many problems fitting my PSP 2001 into this new case. The memory card slot is kinda loose and the UMD hinge is kinda finicky at times. I would advise you reuse as Many buttons as you can like the directional buttons, x square triangle and circle, l and r shoulder, and media buttons. The ones they give you can be either off center, faded, or just badly cut. They give you a thumbstick cap and screws too, as long as you don't overdo the screws they're ok. Try not to take off the protective film until you gotta install the faceplate at the end. I still give it 5 stars because for around $20 it's a pretty good deal overall with some caveats.

Product is not a new shell, it’s a combination of old (with paint coat) and the cheap replacement.The screen protector was very scratched up.It does come with convenient replacement parts for the smaller parts and I would recommend using the triggers it provides, I tried using mine but they were to small. You may have to do some filing depending on the shell you get.

If you have extensive experience replacing PSP shells, this kit is a breeze. Most experts argue that the PSP 2000 is the easiest PSP to flip into a new shell.Unlike the cheaper ones straight from China, this Ostent shell is evenly painted and the extrusions are I'd say 90% accurate to OEM.The ABS plastic has authentic feeling weight and resilience to breakage.Only complaints are as follows:-- No membrane is included for the D-pad, so you have no choice but to use your old one.-- UMD door latch is too rounded- had to use the old one that has sharper points.-- No UMD door hinge slide is included, so you have to use the old one.-- Triggers had a little extra plastic flashing I had to file off.-- There is an extra, third hole on the left by the status lights in the front plate- I believe this is a machining error.All in all, surprisingly decent performance. Ignore negative reviews left by the inexperienced.12/2022 EDIT:Housing is still holding up perfectly fine.I see there are newer reviews left after mine complaining about a scratched screen lens.I'm not sure if the kit has changed at all since I assembled mine, but there was plastic protective film on *BOTH* sides of lens when I received the kit.It sounds like the newer reviews forgot to remove the lens plastic on one/both sides.After I peeled off both films during assembly, there were *NO* scratches on the lens.Easy to overlook, but check to make sure you remove all protective films before assembly!

I just did the shell swap to my psp 2000, and wow it is not good quality at all. umd door has a gap, battery door shuts but has a gap, directional buttons and action buttons doesn’t feel oem, especially the square button, has scratches all over the housing, and some of the screws are hard to put in even though i’m using their screws nor the ones that came with the psp. analog stick has excess plastic on it too. it just makes your psp look like a knockoff. just buy oem on ebay and you will not regret it.

This just ok, if u are looking for a quick shell to fix ur psp for cheap this works. Honestly I was disappointed with this the panels don’t stay in very tight so u can see the space in between parts and the battery cover on the back doesn’t hold this battery tight enough so u have to literally hold the battery with ur hand to turn it on and the screen had a lot of scratches on it the triggers didn’t fit great and the metal ring on the back had a lot of scratches on it

Great part...fit perfect on my psp 2000

The front shell has gaps on the Square and right D-pad that are open for anything to get into the system, the L and R buttons would not seat properly because of how badly the molding was off. Screw holes stripped way too easily. The plastic felt cheap. Power switch and Wlan switch stick and are hard to move. Even for the cheap price the kit didn't meet expectations. Ostent Battery packs for the PSP are a great deal, their replacement shells on the other hand are atrocious.
