This drive enclosure is very useful....I had a couple of drives setting around and never knew if they were good or bad and i did not want to open up a computer to install and check. This enclosure is so simple and well performing I was impressed. It really is no tool installation...for 3.5 drives you just snap out the blue side members and then snap the back in. then ou slide the drive in and it is connected. There is a power supply and USB cable, and my PC recognized it immediately. What a terrific system . You can hot swap...take in and out with ease.

Four stars cause I could not get my SSD to work but all my HDD's work great. Stays nice and cool, the fan is quiet enough but loud compared to my silent case fans.

This solved my storage solution! Very easy to use and very portable! Not to mention a great price. I bought two, 2tb hard drives and no issues! Might buy a second for my other computer

I had multiple external hard drives. I wanted to consolidate them all into one big set of drives. I got this enclosure with 4 20TB drive. It was simple to set up. It is very quiet. It just works. I would recommend connecting it to a Thunderbolt 4 port on your computer and not on a hub, since the speed is the fastest connecting directly to the computer.

This is exactly what I wanted. I have a basic M4 MacMini and I had too many external drives that filled all the sockets and covered my desk. I shut down the computer, collected my 2 SSD's and 2 HD's and loaded them into the trays. It took a couple minutes to figure it out the trays and mounting technique. I plugged this gadget into the mini with the provided cable (just one "C" connection for 4 SATA drives), turned it on and "Wham!" everything was perfect. All my drives mounted and functional.There is no objectionable noise. This is an excellent tool, simply packaged and my mac sits on its roof all very cool and content.Thank you Cenmate!

Just received the 6 bay Cenmate. I installed the drives in the carriers with just the slightest bit of problems using the plastic holders on six 3.5 inch drives. Two of the slots were problematic upon insertion but with a little bit of jiggling the carriers finally installed. I plugged a USB C cable (this did not come with the kit) into my Mac Studio and all six drives appeared on my desktop in a matter of seconds. Drive noise is barely noticeable as is the twin fans, also barely there. Here's to hoping that this enclosure continues to work as well as it does now. I will update if problems arise. Drives do sleep upon system sleep but the twin fans continue to spin. This is not a negative since my studio is in the basement and therefore the minimal fan noise is not a problem.

Pros:- fits 2.5" drives (you screw them in from the bottom of the tray)- TrueNAS sees all three drives/no duplicate serialsCons:- fan is loud. I unplugged it since I'm using ssds and the unit still makes a high pitched whining noise, I'm guessing it's the power management chips.- whole unit feels pretty cheaply made, but in fairness this is one of the lowest priced Das boxes I could findHaven't had it long but those are my inital impressions, it seems like it'll do what I need of it at least.
