the dolphin is very glossy, but has a very hefty feel to it. Seems like it is well-made, and life-like. Larger than I expected (larger than the other Safari bottle nose dolphin). My daughter (5yrs old) loves it.Not convinced if the paint will survive after the abuse it will endure (child flicking fins, maneuvering tails, etc), but when a toy gets used, I expect some wear and tear.If the paint doesn't last, or any other unexpected deterioration occurs prematurely, I will update. Otherwise, it seems to be a quality product.

Please correct the description and report the correct size of product. It is 6 inches in length, not 7.5. Not a show stopper, but it's all about accurate advertising.

Realistic, durable Safari bottlenose dolphins
The Safari line of rubber animals are durable, well made, life like replicas that make great toys for children old enough not to use them as a chew toy. Our children enjoyed many years of imaginative play with Safari animals and now the next generation is as well. The bottlenose dolphins we ordered came quickly and in perfect condition. The great nephews loved playing with them in the pool.
